I just recently started getting into anime. Just wondering what some of your favorite films or series are. I really like Death Note. I loved Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle too. Afro Samurai was cool but I'm not totally into the blood and guts thing.
What are some of your favorites?

Not a movie, but I LOVED Robotech.
Cowboy Beebop was pretty good too.
Anyone catch that newer one features some girl who kills vampires or something? I think it's called Blood.

Ghost in the Shell and Ninja Scroll are classics that I enjoyed a lot - some fans would categorise them as manga however labels are not important.
I also like Robotech - The Shadow Chronicles as well as all the 1980's Robotech work.

I saw Blood, but felt it kinda catered to people who knew the manga, cuz from point one I had trouble following the characters. Maybe I was just drunk.
Manga is the book form and anime is the...well animated.
Personally I never liked the big robot anime, and unfortunately that eliminates about 90% of anime. LOL Oh and I also liked Armitage III. Never saw the sequel...
