Who cares if the embargo is lifted or not? The only reason I can see for lifting the damn embargo is so that cigar addicts can get a fix of Cuban stuff.

Yes, the embargo should be lifted. There are a lot of Cuban immigrants here that want to visit their families in Cuba. Right now, these people have to either go to Canada first and illegally travel there or wait on a very long list to get permission from the US govt to be one of the few to travel to Cuba. This is more than them selling us Cuban cigars. If it is lifted, we will be able to sell OUR products there and probably helping the Cubans realize that Communism just doesn't work.

As long as they're a Communist country the embargo will stay.

There's two really easy ways to get to Cuba from the USA:

1. Join the military(Army or Marine Corps.).
2. Become a terrorist.

Cuba is a huge vacation spot for wealthy Europeans with bad teeth.

Cubans that live in the US probably don't want to go back, that's why they came here.

Neph's got a point that we do do business with China and they are Communist. I think the only reason we've embargoed Cuba for as long as we have is that because, unlike other Communisit conutries, they're only 90 miles away from the southernmost portion of the continental US.... .
