Twice my son and I have tried to go to a SW Celebration. The first time we had our badges and hotel reservations six months in advance, then three days before the convention, his grandfather (my father-in-law) died. We had to cancel of course because prparing for his funeral was more important, but try to explain that to a 7 year old who had been waiting so long to go. We promised he could go to the next one. We got our hotel money back but never did get reimbursed for the 4-day badges we bought. The second time (Celebration IV) we were in the middle of moving to another state due to my husband's job; nothing we could do about that either so of course we had to break our promise there. If there's going to be a Celebration V, we're going to get to it come hell or high water, no matter where it is!
