I have a few moments that stand out in my experiences with comics, if I remember correctly, they all come from Star Wars Tales.
1) Darth Vader finding a disassembled C3-P0 in cloud city.
2) Vader and Maul mystically having a fight resulting in Vader winning and prompting Maul to ask him what he can possibly hate so much to be more powerful than him, to which Vader answers "Myself"
3) The Pulp Fiction spoof that was done with Mace and Yoda. GENIUS!

I have to say I liked the comice book the Purge where Vader almost got his a55 handed to him if it wasn't for the troopers showing up. Plus he lost his arm again, I wonder if the Jedi and the Sith get discounts on severed limbs???

My favorites, not in any particular order...

1. Darth Maul vs. the Iktotchi from Black Sun, whose brain exploded (or something) just by looking into Maul's thoughts and seeing his dark nature. Twas subtle in contrast to the rest of the 'Darth Maul' comic series, which was lots of pretty fighting and notsomuch plot. However, I have yet to understand why that matters when you've got art like it does.
2.Tag and Bink: The Revenge of the Clone Menace
3.that "the Maker" story
4.Luke meets a clone trooper (Empire volume 4, I think. Also very nice art.)

i'm gonna have to go with the whole "Tales of the Jedi" storyline...it was absolutely captivating. Nomi Sunrider, Freedon Nadd, Exar Kun...the list goes on and on.

I agree with Darth Callous on the Vader vs Maul fight which was impressive in itself. The ending was especially awesome with the idea that Vader had to ignite his lightsaber through himself to kill Maul. I also love the Tag and Bink series and appreciate the Dark Empire series as well. The scene of Luke appearing to Leia in dark side form is still one of the best comic stills I've ever seen.
