Okay, so everyone knows the best Star Wars books. What are the worst?
Mine:
1. Jedi Trial
2. Children of the Jedi
3. Planet of Twilight
4. The Cestus Deception
5. A four-way tie between Triple Zero, True Colors, the Force Heretic Trilogy, and Tatooine Ghost (although these really aren't half as bad compared to the previous four)

I like the Republic Commando series, but I had issues with Triple Zero (slow) and True Colors (melodramatic). I LOVED Hard Contact.

i dont know the jedi prince series but im pretty sure its not a comic, but i may be wrong. and i found that hard contact was my least favorite of the series i thought that they got better and better as they went

No, Jedi Prince is not a comic series. It's a young reader book series. I read everything I can get and these 6 books (even though they're written for children) were just awful!

i thought Dark Journey was terrible. The Cestus Deception wasn't that good either.

I remember reading these as well (I didn't realize they were called Jedi Prince). I liked them, but they definitely are too hokey for Star Wars canon.

I don't think any of them are "bad". I enjoyed reading them all....even the Glove of darth vader, mission from mount yoda, Ken the Jedi Prince series. The stories with Lando and Vuffi Ra...Han and Doc...The Kaiburr Crystal...Beldorian the Huttese Jedi...meeting Master Ikrit by the Golden Globe....and even Gammorean Stormtroopers.........these all make up what makes the EU so awesome!
Diversity, even if it is slow, is what gives us the Legacy of the Force today...

Most of the others you all have listed I either haven't read because I heard how bad they are or just can't remember well enough to comment on. I began reading the books when the Thrawn Trilogy first appeared, but I haven't re-read any of them.

Wow and AI thought I was the only one who didn't like Children of the Jedi, I couldn't even finish it so I read another SW book.
I will probably read it once I'm done with all my other books.

I want to amend my first statement. My top 5 worst Star Wars books are:
1. Jedi Trial
2. The Black Fleet Crisis Trilogy
3. Children of the Jedi
4. Planet of Twilight
5. The Cestus Deception
I totally forgot about the terrible Black Fleet Crisis (aka Luke gets another girlfriend in space). Triple Zero, True Colors, the Force Heretic Trilogy, and Tatooine Ghost weren't bad, I just didn't like them as much as others (I, Jedi, Thrawn trilogy, MedStar Duology, etc.).

I haven't found 1 book that I haven't enjoyed. I've read all of the ones you've listed.
I thought The Cestus Deception was great.
But maybe that's because I just love star wars so much that I don't notice if they're that great.
I can list my FAVORITES easily.

Wow, i'm surprised to see all those votes for cestus deception, I really liked that one lol.

5.) The tale of Zuckuss and 4LOM (Yes I know it's not really a book, it's within a book...but I really did HATE this story, just when you think they are gonna do something interesting....no, it doesn't happen.)

I liked Cestus Deception! I didn't think that Crystal Star was terrible either--very strange yes, but any wierd characterizations (coughLukecough) were explained in the book itself. The ones I hear are truly terrible-- the "Luke gets another girlfriend in space" books--I've known to avoid. So, out of everything I've read...
1) Jedi Trial
2) The Glove of Darth Vader
3) Tales from the New Republic (boring, with few exceptions)
4) most things by Jude Watson
