hello! we should make a compilation of good star wars books here. What are some of the best you have read?

I really like the Dark Nest Trilogy by Troy Denning (The Joiner King, The Unseen Queen, The Swarm War). It is between the New Jedi Order and the Legacy of the Force so it is relatively peaceful. Instead of a galaxy wide war the Jedi just have to deal with some nasty bugs.

Star by Star is one of my favorites. Also very partial to the Han Trilogy (Paradise Snare, Hutt Gambit, Rebel Dawn) by A.C. Crispin. Really enjoyed I, Jedi as well.

I don't read the Expanded Universe novels much anymore, but the first "further adventures" book I ever read was Splinter of the Mind's Eye by Alan Dean Foster way, way back, so I guess that's still my favorite (after the 6 official novelizations, of course). Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter was alo pretty cool.

I gotta say I, Jedi has got to be one of the most creative Star Wars books I have ever read. Runners up include the X-Wing Series, and of course, the Thrawn Trilogy.

I have read quite a few of the Expanded Universe and the best one was the Thrawn Trilogy.

Well, there's plenty I've read that I like but I think I'll vote for The Corellian Trilogy: Ambush at Corellia, Assault at Selonia, Showdown at Centerpoint.

My personal favorite has to be the "Han Solo Trilogy".It gives so much info on Han, Chewy, Lando, and the Falcon.

I've read and have all those, and I still think The Legacy of the Force series is the far best.

My favorites are the Jedi Academy trilogy (Jedi Search is the first one), The Cestus Deception, Shadowhunter, and anything by Matthew Stover.

Well, there are too many to name here. But, I'd begin with the Thrawn Trilogy, the whole New Jedi Order series, the current Leagacy series, the X-wing series, and the new stuff about Darth Bane. Thanks, and may the Force be with you!

I was completely blown away by "The Thrawn Trilogy." The mentor/student relationship between Thrawn and Pellaeon was compelling. I fond myself almost rooting for the bad guys. Also, I loved the way Luke Skywalker flew the Millenium Falcon in "The Courtship of Princess Leia." Another great read.

So far my favourites are: Han Solo Trilogy and the Thrawn Trilogy. I really like all I've read (except maybe I, Jedi - the writing style was mediocre and first-person point of view is never as rewarding as third), but I've still got a ton more to read.

First of all, got to be all the Timothy Zahn books (especially the Thrawn Trilogy and Survivor's Quest), then Star by Star (sheer Jedi action!), Traitor and finally the LotF books (especially Infeno). Love some of the other stuff..........................
But how about this: Which are the WORST books you've read. For me, it has to be Approaching Storm, Children of the Jedi, Darksaber and Planet of Twilight (or as some call the last 3, the Callista Trilogy).

Don't forget "The Crystal Star." Definitely NOT a page turner. Lol.

Callista bothers me... but the writing isn't bad. The worst book I've read was I, Jedi. Corran Horn tried to take all the glory of the things that already happened in the Jedi Academy Trilogy, and to top it all off the thing's written in first person. *gag* I definitely force my way through that one. It only got interesting in the last few chapters.
