I prefer the comics with a close relations with the prequel trilogy and the original trilogy such as:Clone Wars,Republic,Empire,Dark Empire Series,Crimson Empire,Purge,etc.

The best SW comic series ever was the entire Dark Empire series!! That series rocked!! The X-wing series was good as well, if only Michael Stackpole could figure out which spelling he wanted to use for Hobbie's actual name.

I really enjoyed Dark Empire and Republic too, more recently though, I have been getting caught up in Legacy, that one has it all for me at the moment, interesting characters, good plot, awesome art!

The only STAR WARS comics I have rightnow are the second-fith issue of the stuff about Naga Sadow and the graphic novelization of the Union comic.
I wish my dad could have read Union before he died, he was almost as big a STAR WARS fan as I am!

I have the all the "classic" Marvel series ones plus the Dark Empire. I started with the Legacy ones but only got the first 5 issues.

There is this one comic that cracks me up..Now it's in Star Wars Tales, and some of them are really funny, but since I also love the movie Pulp Fiction, this one was the best...It's called Force Fiction, and yes, Mace Windu is in it!

What is the difference between Dark Empire and the regular Empire series? I'm starting to buy some Star Wars comics (I guess cuz SD Comic Con is this weekend and I'm in the comics mood) and I'd like a place to start, so I bought Star Wars: Empire on a whim.

Dark Empire was the first SW comic series by Dark Horse since Marvel stopped doing the SW comics.

Knights of the Republic is great. I used to like Legacy best, but KoTOR snuck up on me. I go back and forth between the two, in regards to my favorite, actually.
I agree with Mez about the now defunct Republic comic. They had some excellent stories in there.
Rebellion was pretty bad, with a decent story here and there.
The current Clone Wars comic isn't very good, but I buy them each me.
Always loved Dark Times, so I'm glad to see that return.
And I know only one issue has come out so far, but Invasion looks like a big dud at this point.
And lets not forget the Tag and Bink comic series. Wouldn't mind more of those.

Dark Times #1, also glad to see it return. Legacy #2, Cade's in it, need I say more? Tales of the Jedi #3. Just can't seem to get into KOTOR, perhaps it's the art style more than the story, not sure why.
