Topic Title:Will Star Wars ever end?

I don't wish for Star Wars to end, but I was thinking. Will there be an end to Star Wars? I mean Harry Potter got an Ending. The more the years go by the more I see star wars books come out, but no live action movies (I think Mr. Lucas said there wouldn't be anymore movies.). So now we got to read the books to see what happens to our beloved characters (Dont get me wrong the books are great) but will there ever be a Star wars Book were it just ends. I kinds hope it does because I don't want to die knowing more books are going to come out LOL, but also hope it dosent.

What do you think? Will there be an Ending? Do you want an Ending?

I would say no Drake, but I agree with you that more movies should be made, even if it is in 3d.

3D would be cool and I'm hopping(crossing fingers) that they make another live action movie and not another animated one. The Clone Wars was good, but we all know what happens, orders 66, all clones go bad, end of Jedi. let's get a movie that we won't know.

Currently Lucas's daughter is doing writing for the Clone Wars series on Cartoon Network, which is getting ready to start season 2 in the fall. There was talk that there is/was going to be another movie nade that would deal with the KOTR period. They were not saying who whould be directing it or if it would be theater or made-for-tv. Last rumor of a director was Lucas's son.

It has the potential to outlast things like Harry Potter IMO, it's been around since 1977 so the franchise has already outlasted many of the things it went head to head with. The expanded universe has so much potential to continue on a path of it's own, there are still potentially thousands of story arcs that could be explored/elaborated on, and as Starfox pointed out, Lucas' children have taken a very keen interest in Star Wars related projects - I believe I recall a question being posed to Lucas' son on weather or not he would make more movies should his dad pass the franchise onto his children, and he expressed interest in this, just not while his dad was around to tell him off for dabbling too much in the universe lol.

Jett Lucas directing? That would be interesting especially if his sister is doing some of the writing. BTW, Jett's ssiter was supposed to be a purple twi'Lek dancer in the Outlander Club scene in Attack of the Clones... .

Both George & his daughter appeared together in Ep III as 2 blue skined aliens outside of the enterence as Anikin runs in to meet Palpitine at the opera. His daughter is also seen during the procession after Anikin lands the remaining portion of the ship after rescuing Palpintine(before he sees Pademe)

He has two daughters so which daughter are we talking about as being in ROTS?

Actually, all of Lucas's kids were in two of the three prequels.
Jett played a Jedi in attack of the clones and revenge of the sith. The scene where Obi-Wan is in the temple archines, you can see a young boy meet up with the old jedi women. And the Jedi who the clones attacked on the temple, right before Bail Organa escaped.
His daughters played Twi'leks in episode 2 and 3. One of them even had a line in a scene with Padme and other Senators(Episode III).

but that was a deleted scene. George got rid of the Senators meeting together when they were discussing on how to approach Palps. George felt that it was disruptive to the pacing of the story.
