A Lot of New Faces

We've noticed a lot of new faces around the collecting board and thought now would be a good time to get to know everyone.

How about everyone list the following 3 things:
1. Central Focus of your collection
2. How long you've been collecting
3. The one item you REALLY, REALLY want or need for your collection

Our answers:
1. Modern Figures
2. One year and 4 months
3. Republic Gunship

1. "Central Focus of your collection" - Pretty much anything but action figures. There are just too many and they're just too pricey for me to want to get that ball rolling.

2. "How long you've been collecting" - I originally began soon after I first saw the movies in the early 90s, but that collection was unfortunately left behind when I moved (and taken over by my brother). The current collection began roughly 8-10 years ago.

3. "The one item you REALLY, REALLY want or need for your collection" - George Lucas. I sit by the mailbox every day waiting for the adoption papers to come through. Daddy Lucas is certainly taking his sweet time.

1 Central Focus- Vintage Action Figures, Vintage Posters, Vintage Patches, Vintage Playsets , Vintage Vehichles, Vintage Store Displays

2 Since Ive "Grown Up", Ive been collecting for about 4 years steady, with only a hand full of Luls and Black Out periods.

3 The one item I REALLY WANT is a Vintage Early Bird Set of Figures still in its shipping tray, and possibly with its Original Shipping Box.

1. Central Focus - Enough 3" figures, vehicles, beasts and playsets to set up an array of ultimate dioramas.
2. I started collecting in 1978. I slowed down from 1987 until the mid-90's, sold all my vintage figures, and I'm still replacing and outgrowing my old vintage collection.
3. What Syphodiaz said, a Mint in Mailer Box Early Bird set, although I'd go with a complete collection of all the Vintage (VOTC) and Saga Original Trilogy collection, all the ones that have the retro look of the vintage collection.

I guess I would say I am one of the newer faces around since I have been here for a few weeks now. To answer your questions.

1. My main focus would be Modern figures and vechiles.
2. I have been collecting for about three years now.
3. I am trying to get the Imperial shuttle that was put out a couple years ago. I would have said a Falcon, but I am going to get that huge one that will come out in July.

Well, I am new to this sub-section. I cant' say I was a true collector, though I had alot of the vintage stuff between 77'-83'. Kenner figs and ships, Marvel Comics, coloring books, the old school flashlight lightsabers, ect. By the time I was 13 (83'), all that stuff was gone (little brothers and, those sticky pretty things called girls...) except I was still collecting Topps Cards until Jedi was released (kept collecting movie cards in general until Gremlins and Temple of Doom in 84')

1. Re-collecting Marvel Comics issues 1-107, then all official movie posters ever printed. One-Sheets ect
2. 77'83' and then mildly 97'-present
3. Original Kenner AT-AT in the box, excellant condition

One of my ultimate dreams is to own and operate my own brick and mortar Sci-Fi museum and shop here in SoCal, when I retire from the minutia of the biz world. It would be a everything from the 30's, 40's, and so on, where SW would be the primary focus, hence the desire to start collecting the One-Sheets now.

Welcome Commander!

I also reside in Southern California (Carson) to be exact.

I know some like minded star Wars collectors in our area, that are also interested in opening up a "Brick and Mortar" shop for collectibles with a PRIMARY Focus on Star Wars both Old and New. Get at me on side note and maybe I can introduce you.
