From Hoth? Does this @#$% not know his Star Wars or what? There are figures from all three movies there.
Rare indeed.

Wait, I did not see the chess board not included part. He wants 300 bucks for those figures?

Wow...this guy is...wow...what a turd.

Mar 4, 2009 6:10 PM | Report Abuse reply

WHAT the HELL is this guy thinking.... FIRST to defile a ton of sweet Vintage figures, then to make a fool of himself by calling this a Rare chess set! this guy had nothing better to do then keep vintage figures out of the hands of good hard working collectors!

Well, it is rare. After all, who else would want to glue Plexiglas to 30-year-old figures? If it's not a one-of-a-kind offer, there are too many @#$%s out there with glue guns.

This seems to be a good fit for the "check this out" thread here. Another SUPER RARE figure variation!

I'm sure this item will end with no bids, but you have to see this. Here is the link.

ended w/ no bids! good! did you take a look at the other garage sale items he had? i see people like this, i imagine, digging in my dumpster, then weeks later, set up at the flea markets selling their wares.

Quite honestly looks like the Classic Edition 4 pack figure for some reason.

It may have been, Sypho. My point was more the fact that all someone did was add a VADER saber to a Farmboy Luke figure. POOF! All of a sudden we have a VERY RARE figure! LOL I could do the same thing with an Obi-Wan saber.
I would say that I am shocked by the fact that someone would stoop to that level to make a buck, but nothing really shocks me anymore.

I saw an hillarious example of this kind of thing once too,

Some one described a Yoda figure on his Jedi Council seat as "Yoda that comes with his own BOILING POT" Ha! They thought his chair was a boiling pot. Just too funny.

Then once I saw a Vintage Darth Vader for sale with the Headdress from what looked like the Indiana Jones Tribal Chief Figure on his head, and they described it as "The Most Eviliest Witch Doctor Darth Vader ever."

But the terms RARE and SUPER RARE on any description always amazing me and get a chuckle at the very least from me. Even on most vintage, there are thousands and millions of these things that were made and exist. Too funny

ive seen afa worthy aloton ebay. and i got me. ive got a vader w/ a small cut in his cape. you cant see it un less you are looking for it. the point is the seller never even took it out of the ziptop baggie it was in and described it as afa worhty."whats afa worthy?" is how he repleid to my email about the cut. hes right, all figures are afa worhty, i guess. ive also been told prices of loose figures the seller thought was the reg. price, but it was an afa price, he just didnt realize what afa is and tought he could grade it himself i guess!

Mar 19, 2009 1:06 PM | Report Abuse reply

Those are the kinds of sellers who should NOT be allowed to sell Star Wars figures. Like you said, DM, every figure is AFA worthy, some will just get better grades then others. BUT don't list it as AFA unless you know what you are looking for! Obviously, this guy does not. I hope you reported him to ebay, and they ban him just for being STUPID!!!!

Mar 19, 2009 1:11 PM | Report Abuse reply

AFA is SO Slanted, why are Cloud City and Brians Toys the only ones who can get AFA 95s on the figures they sell? Does anyone know anyone else who gets AFA 95 on SO MANY figures. Its rigged.

Mar 19, 2009 6:53 PM | Report Abuse reply

It depends on how much you pay for your AFA grade I guess.
