Hey fellow Star Wars junkies, I am in need of some participation from some of you. My wife is doing a very important study for her senior thesis in anthropology. She has to study a particular culture, interact with the members, and conduct a research study of the people and culture. It's a lot more complicated, but I will post more details soon. The crux of the help I need is this. She was going to do something boring and trite, but I suggested she study Star Wars fans, and the Star Wars subculture. She was initially resistant to the idea, but she pitched it to her professor and she LOVED THE IDEA!!!! So did the rest of her class. So what I'm asking is this: I need your help in the research; I don't know what exactly I'll need though. I REALLY want to speak to members of the 501st for the costuming and charity aspects of the research, and would like to come to an event (I live in the Philadelphia metro area).
