I remember the temple, even though it’s been a long five years. I wonder just how damaged it really is, or whether or not the four masters still stand. How could the temple be taken so easily? Yes, the clone troops betrayed us and that was a factor, but; where was Master Windu, or Yoda and Kenobi, Shaak Ti, or even Master Skywalker? The Jedi with no fear, could he have been killed as well, if that is the case; I may be placing myself in a more compromising situation than I thought. I am afraid, this has never happened before, but it’s only natural to feel fear like this, right? Is it the fear of losing my master the real reason that is driving me at this moment? No, I feel him in the force; he is reaching out to me.
“Hey you’re going pay for that or what?”
Sirene’s train of thought was broken as she took her eyes of the large holonet playing in the street and turned her attention back to the merchant.
“Don’t you think the price you charge for just fabric is a little criminal? Sirene replies holding up her choice of color.
A beautiful shade of royal red, it certainly was a stand out color but the idea was to blend in which meant wearing the most unlikely thing a Jedi would ever wear; that would make people come to the conclusion she were nothing but a vain materialistic woman. She certainly came across quite a number of vain women in her travels. All of them had something in common: they all wore colorful beautifully decorated clothing.
“Oh, I can’t tell you how many times I have NOT heard that.” The woman said rolling her eyes and crossing her arms.
“Very well, I will take this shade and the two other shades as well as the black one, that sowing kit and those boots. “ Sirene replied to a gawking merchant.
“You’ve got the credits for that?” she finally asked after staring Sirene down to see if she were serious then began packing everything in a cotton pack.
“You’re feeling charitable today.”Sirene said as she stared into the woman’s eyes.
“Would you like some accessories to go with any of that miss?” the woman asked in a very robotic like tone.
It was low, and Sirene never made it a habit to influence people’s minds. Unlike most of her fellow Jedi her master had said her ability to influence minds was dangerous, so naturally she never used it much except when she had no choice, she hoped this time her influence wasn’t too strong.
“No thank you kindly I believe I had all I need.” she replied, `~I feel so awful for this~` With that Sirene left with a bag full of fabric and tools for making her ne attire. `~Now to find a quite place to work`~ Looking about the huge city she sighed, she would need to find an alley somewhere.
Banners and posters of wanted Jedi were placed all over the place as she walked around the gloomy city. Some had crosses over them, meaning they were illuminated. A look of horror crossed her face as she saw Master Windus face crossed over. No! Master Windu was one of the greatest swordsmen of the time and the most intimidating to all the young Jedi like herself, she couldn’t believe it, there was no way to catch him off guard! …he can’t be gone… looking over at the huge posters her shock only grew as she read the names of the Jedi crossed, no , no , no! Finally breaking her eye contact from the poster she found onlookers on the street staring at her, she would have to think fast.
“Look at how many Jedi are still left! Traitorous scum, after all we did to keep a roof over their heads, huh?!” she said gesturing lazily at the poster and walking away mumbling of how ungrateful the Jedi were, it seemed to work, but still, too close. …I still haven’t gotten a good grasp of emotional intelligence; this can’t happen again I can’t show so much emotion ever…
Yet, seeing Master Windus face crossed hurt her heart enormously, she was always fond of the intense Jedi Master. Nothing like her own Master who never showed disapproval, Windu was upfront and never spoke a lie to her. It helped her grow, and always brought out the best from her. Then again, she was always good at taking criticism. Though he did walk a fine line between the dark and light side of the force, maybe that’s why his saber was such a rare color. She would miss him very much.
…she would miss all of them very much…
…Who could have done this…
