KOTOR 3 FANS COME HERE ASAP!

Just read the petition and had a few thing to say, first, neither KOTOR were "internal projects" both were made by third parties and published by Lucas Arts. Bioware did not make KOTOR2 because they were busy making other games at the time, Jade Empire and Mass Effect, and now they are working on a major MMO, which many in the industry believe is a follow up to Galaxies, i.e a KOTOR MMO. Oh, and for the Lucas Arts lay-off, they were part of a major Lucasfilm restructuring and movement, where all Lucas companies, save Skywalker Sound, were moved to San Francicso from San Rapheal and other Marin County locations. I have signed the patition just to show support, but in reality it will make no difference, cause publishers know when they have a cash cow, and KOTOR is just that.

Good everyone. Lets keep sighning.

It doesn't matter if one are to sign or not.
If the games happens, it will. With or without your little rallying for support.

If I where a developer, I would only feel anger towards those that doesn't comprehend how long a game takes to develop, nor the time to even think something up.

So stop signing and leave those that actually know what they are doing, alone.

Actually you got it all wrong. Its ok I dont expect people like you to understand. I want this sighned so they will start making it. I dont care if they take 3 years to make it awsome but I would like the game to me made instead of people not sighning and it now being made at all. Its ok you may not get it. Just dont ruin it for everyone else.

The fact people think it's never going to be made....staggers me in it's ignorance.

Hopefully it will be a really good game.

I signed it..If anything at all. The knoweledge that a petition not only exists but the huge amount of people that signed it...Will peak gaming companies interest to take a second thought about the idea of making Kotor3 and at least..consider it. The worse they can do is say no..so why not sign it? I did..For the love of Star Wars and the great creator, George Lucas, you bet your@#$%I'mma sign! Long Live Star Wars and George Lucas. May it and he, not ever be forgotten.

Lucas has as much to do with KotOR as Krusty the Clown had to do with his Krusty Brand Birth Control...

So true.

Dec 24, 2007 6:13 PM | Report Abuse reply

If you truly believe Lucas doesn't have some say in HIS property your a fool. He doesn't make the game, you can bet that that the story ideas and general game play mechanics pass in front of him before any real development happens.

Dec 24, 2007 6:18 PM | Report Abuse reply

Actually, meat bag, the KotOR games were as good as they were because Lucas had NOTHING to do with their creation. It was all Bioware and Obsidian. Lucas just signed the paychecks. He was already@#$%deep in sappy Anakin/Padme dialogue by then.

That's why there's such a news story with Force Unleashed because he actually had a hands on with that one. Because it's entirely a LucasArts made game. When it comes to games no one, not even Lucas, would have the stones to tell Bioware how to make an RPG. Lucas would never have written KotOR as dark as they were...case in point Revenge of the Sith. It wasn't half as dark and brooding as the Dark Side version of KotOR.

Dec 25, 2007 3:08 AM | Report Abuse reply

Thats mostly true. I would say 90%. However Lucas did look over the material.

Dec 25, 2007 4:26 PM | Report Abuse reply

Did I say Lucas wrote it? Did I say Lucas was telling them how to make the game? Why don't you actually try reading a post before you spout your B.S. I said "story ideas and general game play mechanics pass in front of him before any real development happens", Do you really believe Lucas is going to put something into the Star Wars mythos that he doesn't approve?

Dec 25, 2007 4:54 PM | Report Abuse reply

Ok sorry but you dont get it. This will be presented to him as well. And the answer to your iirelevant question is yes. He doesnt just have control of lucasarts you know.

Dec 26, 2007 3:56 AM | Report Abuse reply

And keep sighning

Dec 26, 2007 3:56 AM | Report Abuse reply

Lucas has less to do with LucasArts. He hired compitent people to run that division themselves so he doesn't have to. Agreed he may wander in on occasion and says no and yes to certain things, but Bioware and Obsidian had alot more control over the storyline and game mechanics than Lucas. Granted he created the archetypes and lightsabers, but no way can he get any credit for the KotOR story.

I still strongly believe that the less Lucas and his ewoks and gungans are involved the better. But yes he strolls in and puts the kibosh on certain things...they originally were going to have Hanharr a jedi until he walked by, looked at it, said no more wookiee jedi, and walked out cackling as the developers cried in their Admiral Ackbar Cereal. LOL So all you Wookiee lovers can forget about any canonical jedi anymore. It's his property and it's his say, but the less he has to do with it the better. Case in point...Phantom Menace.....Empire Strikes Back.

I'm hoping beyond hoping that Lucas is atleast oblivious to most going on at LucasArts, cuz if he had anything to do with Masters of Teras Kasi I might have to convert to being a trekkie.....Meat-bag. lol

Ok guys. Lets just sign the petition. We all have our personal opinions(or facts) but lets just be freinds and sighn this petition.

Is sighning different from signing? Is that a UK form of signing? Just curious.
