I think George said it was all about Anakin, the whole story. However, I do feel that Luke played a major part of Anakins redemption back to the good side. For the love of his mother and his wife made him fall to the dark side related to his strong emotions. The same love of his son brought him back. Thus, through love does the force find balance.
