JC's metallic voice broke the silence of the forest in a way that usually irritated Sekhmet, when there was a need to be still, he always found a way of clanking into recognition. This time, it reminded Sekhmet of how small Nyx was and how very late it was. Nyx must be tired though she gave no indication otherwise, and there was no way she could cover the ground they needed to in the time allowed.
Looking down into that trusting face, it also dawned on her that Nyx had no idea that her father hadn't checked in. Should she tell her now or wait....waiting, yes that thought brought her to the present, waiting for a droid, a noisy one at that, irritation soon replaced realization. And yet, that irritation subsided and was replaced with realization of the fact that the droid could be useful when the time came to strike. Sekhmet grinned inwardly, at the thought of using it as point.

Lifting Nyx in one swoop to her shoulders, Sekhmet didn't have to wonder what Kaaliyani was thinking, it was plainly written on her face. "Kaaliyani?" Sekhmet said half whispering. "Want to see if we can ditch the droid?" Chuckling at the thought, Sekhmet turned into the canopy. "Once we reach the safe spot, I will fill you in on what lies ahead, the safety of Nyx will rest in your hands." Her voice trailing off as she gained distance.
