Former location of Sernpidal: Ruined Shipwomb

((Among the shards and asteroids still lingering where a world once stood in their place, is the saboataged Yuuzhan Vong shipwomb. Until now it has lain untouched, a living monument to a failed invasion and attempt at orchestrating the death of a galaxy...until now.))

**
Reverting from darkspace (hyperspace) a living craft winks into view just short of what appears to be a large asteroid field. It's pilot, however, knows that this is not the case, this was once sernpidal, the result of a technique long used among her people, the Yuuzhan Vong. This, was the result of Yo'gand's core, and had been suggested by none other than the person that the pilot was attempting to make a redezvous with.

Head, hidden by the cognition hood that covered it, Lotva Shai's hands moved deftly over the controls of her personal vessel, grown specifically for the purpose of her ease and travel. She had chosen not to obtain a Sekotan vessel, fearing that it may be more tracable, and besides...she abhored the use of any technology intergrated with biotech, it offended her senses.

She slowed the vessel to a halt within the miasma of rocks orbiting around them, a risky move, perhaps, but the ship would notify her if anything was awry. The added benefit of settling here for a while. was that her vessel - constructed of the finest yorik coral - would appear as just one of the many chunks of former planet orbiting the gravity well.

Pulling the cognition hood from her head, she rose from her seated position at the controls to settle before the large blister transparency of a viewport. Beside her, in their coral niche in the wall, sat several villips. Now all she need do was wait.

2 ships suddenly can be seen at a distance. One being large and is known as the KOROS-STRONHA WORLDSHIP and the other is much smaller in size but still carries a strong presence of magnitude to it. The scout ship onboard is Nom Anor and several hundred warriors. The world ship stops and stays stationery while the scout ship stays along its side. Both ships start to scan the area.

** unfurling from her cross-legged position on the fleshy polyp she had been using for a stool, she rose when the biot upon the ship's controls began to pulse gently, issuing a clear keening sound into the air around her. She had company.

Striding to the controls she donned the cognition hood for a moment and noticed that she ships sensory biots were informing her of the arrival of two new vessels in the sector, and one of them was unmistakable. A worldship, a whole, intact worldship - now this was encouraging.
Accompanying it appeared to be a smaller scoutship, and at that notion, she leapt from the station towards the villip niche again.

"Time to set things in motion" she muttered as she coaxed the villip to evert, waiting for the recipient on the other end to respond in kind.

When a face of another Yuuzhan Vong began to form on it's leathery surface, she inclined her head slightly in respect more so than formality.

"You have arrived, encouraging." She began in that tone synonymous with all her kind, especially her caste, "I regret that I could not find a meeting place more...planet bound, but the infidels eyes and ears are many." He would understand.

"We can conduct this meeting aboard my vessel if you so wish?" If not, he would suggest somewhere else, it mattered little to her where they had their talk, but at least here she was relatively familiar with her surroundings, which often gave her the upper hand. Not that she would need it, but there were many factions within the Yuuzhan Vong, and the mere matter of him seeking HER out, rather than the other way around, naturally drew suspicion. **

Nom anor stands to his feet seeing a familiar face on his screen. He raises his amphistaff and two warriors approach him on both sides as he stands there speaking to the recipient on the other end who no doubt to him was another of his kind and he smiled to her as if she were his own child. *Familiar face to me child of the Vong it is I Nom Anor and have come to take you and whomever else has survived to the world ship.

His steps bring him closer to her terminal as she stares at his vision getting larger to her eyes. I will come aboard your ship and we can discuss matters in private. He turns and walks away from her as she stares at her screen. He quickly turns to her. I will be coming alone. We will have our revenge and destroy our enemies with brute force for we our Vong and death of our enemies will surround us . The screen goes dark and a familair Yuzhan vong insignia appears on the monitor and the transmission ends.

((OOC: Referring to a Yuuzhan Vong, simply as 'Vong' is a deep insult to them, as it implies they are without the gods, but I take it you didn't mean it like that? lol))

Somewhat taken aback, Lotva Shai could not hide her ever so slightly incredulous expression when he referred to her in the generalization as child. Since just before his escalation, within the same month that the Supreme Overlord had died, she bore a rank above him.
However, it did little more than ruffle her proverbial feathers, she would accept him like an envoy, a peer. The traditionalists could always use someone like Nom Anor, who had proven time and again that knowledge was indeed power.

It was such a pity that the mindless warriors that had headed the the initial missions to conquer many of the worlds, had failed to see past their own stubby noses, when it came to this notion. Thankfully, that was not so much the case now.
She set about preparing one of the smaller ganglia attached to her ship, to recieve the incoming vessel bearing Nom Anor, and transform it's self into an organic cofferdam that would allow him eagress into her personal craft.

She would recieve him in the chamber beyond, this was going to be an interesting encounter - things were going slightly awry according to the original plan, but as an Intendant herself, she knew that often, there was no straight path to victory, it was all a matter of finding the right links, connecting the dots in order to reach a particular goal.

Smoothing down the folds of her robeskin, she rearranged it as she waited, for once being rather grateful for the fact that this time, at least, she wouldn't need that stuffy ooglith masquer.**

OOC: yes I do know that and i aplogise. I didnt catch that till it was to late. Thats what i hate about here is you cant edit anything.LOL!!

IC: Nom goes to his private quarters and begins to gather all his data on what he knows abot the war so far. He sets his amphistaff down on his cott and stares at it for a brief moment reminding him of his cousin and how he lost his cousin in this war. He grits his teeth. The grey jedi will pay for this and everything they have done. I swear I hate that religion adn especially the jedis.I use to be told i cared about nobody but myself wellthats not entirely true. I care for my people thats why I have tirelessly dealt with many factions and negotiated for the better of my people. I have done so much for the Yuzhan Vong it angers me to no end to think that there our others who doubt my intentions. They will soon know exactly what my intentions are about dealing with the grey jedi though. He gathers what he is taking and proceeds to the command deck and tells his wariors to get ready to dock with Lotvas ship. Some warriors begin asking Nom if she is a true Yuuzhan Vong and this isnt a trap?
Nom grabs one of the warriors and stares in his eyes. She is a yuuzhan Vong and one of us and if you do not show common practice as we do I will cut your heads off. He drops the warrior and they immediately set course to dock with Lotvas ship. as his ship docks with hers he opens the airlock doors and he immediately sees the inside of her ship directly in front of him.

((OOC: Ai, I know what you mean, i'll spot numerous typos on a post I have made and can't do anything to edit them out D: ))

IC: As the seperating oqa membrane dilated, Lotva Shai looked on as her 'guest' walked through the spongy cofferdam and into the chamber she was standing in. While she did offer a small gesture of respect in the form of a salute- arms crossed with fists snapped to opposite shouders - she decided to spare the usual protocol to save on time. He had been correct in his assumptions, there was much they needed to discuss, such as how he had mysteriously reappeared at such an appropriate time.

"Belek tiu, Nom Anor." She offered, looking him up and down seemingly appraisingly, though the action could have been taken for checking for any kind of ruse this might be.

The infidels had also manufactured ways of disguising themselves as Yuuzhan Vong.
When she was satisfied that he was indeed who he said he was, she motioned to the chamber beyond this one. It was a modest craft by all accounts, with only a few chambers besides this and the command deck, but it was roomy enough for her.
She had hardly spent much time on it as it was.

When she reached the adjoining chamber, she sat herself down upon the fleshy lump of a polyp that had been grown from the floor up, signalling for him to take up a seat opposite if he so wished.
Breathing in a deep lungful of air, she prepared to as and answer many questions of her own.

"As I informed you in response to your message, this is most unexpected. Most assumed you were dead." She informed, but of course, he would know that - and had no doubt counted on everyone believing so too.

"And yet here you are" She let a smile play delicately across her lips but for a moment, azure eyes shimmering in the light of the bioluminescent fungi that lit the walls. There was a certain wry humour to her gaze, but she did not indicate such verbally.
"Telling me, that you wish to ally yourselves with us...the traditionalists?"

The idea was all too encouraging, but if this was the Nom Anor she had heard of, though they had never actually spoken in person before now, there was always a hidden agenda, and she would rather be aware of it sooner rather than later.

Uncrossing her legs, she placed both feet on the floor again, leaning in closer as if to gain a better view of him. Eyes narrowed with curiosity, to black slits of obsidian.

"I have but one question...what is your motivation?"

He could have rebuked her at any point, made her pay for her impudence, but she did not care, knowing was worth any pain she may recieve as a result, and even if that was the case, she would take it and embrace it like any child of Yun-Yuuzhan should. She could languish in pain for days on end, she was of domain Shai, and unlike many domains, she would often seek out pain for ungodly reasons as well as cleansing properties.

"You speak of the grey Jeedai, their erradication...on this we agree, and steps have been taken by my allies to bring this about weather the senate agree's to removing them from Zonama Sekot or not. They believe they are doing all they can to save the galaxy from this threat, but they do not even begin to approach worthiness - they have no idea what awaits them."

She would laugh a little, poor misguided ignorant fools, they were utterly disgusting in their beliefs, it amused her no end to know that soon, they would all be gone - forever. **

Nom watches as her posture gains his attention more and she seems curious about him not knowing if the trust should be warranted to him. He listens to her cautiously as her bodily posture proves his thoughts warranted. He decides to approach her in a different fashion however grows angered as she speaks to him about his intentions. His normal approach to such impudence would be costly to an individual but for some reason he looks upon her with great respect possibly other than proffesional as he watches her legs cross with a grin showing slightly.. He decides to respond with a short but revealing answer to her. He leans in and stares into her eyes and utters. For the yuuzhan Vong and its prosperity have I called for this alliance. We must act accordingly towards our enemies not to ourselves wrapped up in the higher archy. Most of the intendent have been wiped out or our in exile attempting to regroup and it is my intentions to see that carried out. Far to long have I been criticised for lack of progress with diplomacies and my lack of shall we say repsectable reputation among our people as well as the jeedai.*Pauses* My motivations are clear to you but something is missing to you. I spoke of my reputation and have vengeful tones to it as you may or may not have heard. First I will erradicate the grey jedi then I will focus on....He stops not wanting to reveal his full intentions to her just yet. I will return to my ship as you no doubt will think this through.Hiding his true feelings about the ones inside the intendent who doubted his diplomatic abilities, he turns and walks towards the airlock opening connecting both there ships and when he gets there he turns and raises his amphistaff showing respect hoping she will take his words seriously and slightly revelaing his future intentions. I will be on OUR world ship. I am the leader and higher ranked intendant aboard ever since I had to...Dispose of those who did not see my prosperous vison for our people. The next meeting I look forward to. He turns and his dark blue cloak waves behind him as he walks through the airlock door and onto his ship door closing behind him.

Nom anor sits in his ship when he gets a signal from an outside source and he grins. Time to stir things up with this grey jeeadai plague. His ship jumps into hyperspace.

His irritance at her suspicion was palpable, so much so she felt a little tendril of perculiar sensation coil about her gut and bristles as it did so. But of course he would have found her suspicion disrespectful, but among Intendants it was hardly surprising - particularly as she had been among those still alive to have remembered the tales of Nom Anor's defection.
Survival, she had decided, as that thought crossed her mind, while the warriors threw themselves aimlessly upon the enemy, it was the other castes that had to pick through the debris left by those who had gone to the gods with honour. The intendants most of all, she recalled her days in the creche well, how she had been uncrermoniously plucked from her rightful caste, and placed in the Intendant caste as a last resort. She had vowed that she would restore that reputation, and perhaps her reservations about when it was appropriate to survive had held her back?

This would be a useful engagement, she had concluded. Useful, was something intendants knew all about. She inclined her head in a motion of respect, as she listened to the last of Nom Anor's offer, before he retreated to his own ship once more.

When at last Lotva Shai heard the seperating membrane snap shut, she had already made her mind up...but first she must report the latest proceeds of a recent meeting with a traitorous infidel, who seemed to have offered himself and his inside knowledge to the Yuuzhan Vong cause.
He would, of course, be required to undergo rigorous sessions in the embrace of pain, then an interrogation involving the haar vhinic - but this she had explained already, and he seemed all too willing.

Her thoughts turned again to Nom Anor...yes, she thought, keeping your options open was never a bad thing, not completely.
And it seemed she had just acquired a solution to their common enemy. Perhaps that report could wait after all.

She strode to the villip niche, and waited.

An Imperial Navy Dreadnaught appears bearing the markings of the Fleet Admiral's ships. The Dreadnaught itself was traveling at speeds not recommended for that make of ship.

Yuuzhan Vong coralskippers rise into orbit to combat the new threat, and just before the Dreadnought reached orbit, it launched a large projectile straight toward the planet.

Knowing that the Yuuzhan Vong garrison would inevitably be close on its tail, it turned fast and jumped randomly into hyperspace.

Aug 21, 2009 9:45 PM | Report Abuse reply

The projectile burned into the atmosphere, coralskippers not far behind, but it sped out of range.

As soon as it made contact with the ruined planet's crust it exploded in a plume of blue spores.

Aug 21, 2009 9:53 PM | Report Abuse reply

Within hours, all of the coralskippers turned on the garrison, and likewise the garrison turned on itself.

The Dreadnaught returned to see the damage, and discovered that the entire Yuuzhan Vong garrison on Sernpidal had destroyed itself.

The best part: It only affected Yuuzhan Vong.

OOC: I hate to inform you ever so slightly GMing self, that we haven't been at sernpidal for months, that's why the thread is dead. If you wanted to do something like this, you could have contacted me and I would have been happy to set this up elsewhere - you can't just decide to destroy a garrison without first asking the people who are in charge of it. I wouldn't just jump into one of your threads and cite *destroys the entire Imperial garrison at Corulag, via means of Yo'gands' core* I would ASK first.

Aug 22, 2009 3:38 AM | Report Abuse reply

However, Lotva Shai, this would only serve as a test for the new weapon. My fleet could care less if there is or isn't a garrison, just if our weapon works.

Aug 22, 2009 6:01 PM | Report Abuse reply

OOC: I am going to jump in and add my two cents.

I agree with her in that its GMing. Its her Storyline for when she can get back to it. You coming and just destroying all the garrison without a by your leave to her, is wrong. What weapon is it your talking about? What did it do besides throw out "blue spores"? Sounds like it opened up a blackhole the way they are turning in on themselves....

And "one dreadnaught" against a garrison of Vong, its laughable to do that. These are the guys that gave the galaxy an@#$%kicking and you show up and shoot somthing and they go bye-bye jsut like that. With no damage to your ship whats so ever.

Unless you talk to her and set something up about your weapon testing.... its GMing. You show up, tell her what your planning on GB and figure out how to do it. OR else I would have done it long ago..LOL.

Aug 22, 2009 6:12 PM | Report Abuse reply

Volk is right, test or not, you can't just sail on into a thread and pointlessly attack whoever is there and destroy them without their permission! You have just demonstrated, with all the tact of a remedial, a classic example of god modding for all to see.
If you wanted to do this, you should have asked, and I would be happy to discuss and sort something out. I am not adverse to taking losses, if I thought the idea was viable, I would have agreed.

Test or not, you are missing the point. No one is here. The yuuzhan vong forces moved from here to an undisclosed location near Rishi. Whatever was here has GONE, so there is nothing to destroy except yourselves. And as for taking abseloutely no damage upon attacking this imaginary garrison, well quite frankly it's laughable!

What is this weapon? What can it do? This is all vital information you should be giving people in your posts, before they can interact with whatever it is you have created. Yet again another stunning example of GMing that this site so often comes up trumps with. You don't have a leg to stand on, your argument is vitally flawed and anyone with half a brain cell could see that. I received no correspondence from you about this, and if I had, I would have been able to tell you that there were no yuuzhan vong forces in this area.
But since you seem to believe a move like this is ok, I guess you wouldn't mind if I just had some of the yuuzhan vong turn up in imperial territory and "test" a few of their weapons on you lethally, without your say so?
Any takers?
No, that's what I thought.

OOC: With Permission from Lotva Shai and Nom Anor

Aeron has received a message via villip. Well not her really but her befriended loyalists. The message said that the dread one wants to meet with an ambassador of the loyalists and the Grey Jeedai. The logical choice fell on her.

Grey Avril, her living sekotan ship, is currently racing through hyperspace toward the meeting point with the vessel of the dread one. Aeron is suspicious about this whole meeting after what has happened over the last months and years. The traditionalists are not to be trusted.

Her whole being is still filled with the hatred she has felt recently in the Council Chamber. Volk has nerves to tell her that, to stop her getting her revenge. Xerxes would not have deserved any better than being roasted on the spot. Playing around and acting as would he have lost his memory. She certainly would not have fallen for such a simple trick.

Aeron has cut her child off, put a shield around her womb so that the tiny creature can’t reach her mind. It is kind of a play with power, and she knows what she does contrary to the instinct driven being within her.

But now she has a task. The dread one.

She let Avril slow down to real space and the streaks of stars shrink to dots. There the living rock is hanging, right in orbit of a small, dead moon. She arcs her ship in a soft curve toward it, stroking the villip to live that rests on the console before her. The living creature inverted and a deformed face appears on the surface, “This is Aeron of the Grey Jedi and avatar of Yun-Ne’Shel. The dread one is expecting me.”

“Belek tiu, Avatar, you’re expected. Please proceed with your ship to our hangar, it should fit for your vessel. The personal guards of the dread one will greet you there and lead you to his chambers.”

“Acknowledged,” she answers and closes the connection, chatting with worthless communication adjutants. She knows that her living ship can handle the landing procedure herself and so slips out of her seat and to her chamber. She already wears a rather tight fitting black body suit which bulges rather heavily around her middle, her very pregnant form. She pulls around her now her grey cloak, a present from a friend long gone. It doesn’t hide her condition though, just makes it more prominent with not fitting around her at all. She clasps her belt low around her hips, her lightsaber clipped on it. Then Aeron takes the amphistaff and let it wrap around her arm, hidden beneath the wide sleeves of the cloak.

She feels how Avril settles on a hard surface and turns on her heels walking toward the ramp. Through the Force she tells the ship to close up behind her and be wary.

Aeron strides down the lowered ramp, her cloak billowing behind her, the boots clacking on the metal and then rocky surface. She can feel the weight of the lightsaber handle knocking against her tight with each step. Four warriors are waiting for her. They are all rather tall, the armour looked similar enough to pass as special for being guards of the dread one, as well as the glisterweb cape, draped around their shoulders, falling down their back.

“Belek tiu,” one of them says to her, “The dread one is not to be left waiting, follow us, Jeedai.” They move like liquid forming around her, one left front, one left back, mirrored by the other two right front and back. The one who has spoken was on the right side in the front, leading the way. Aeron suspects that the others would know the way just as well.

What bothers her, is that the communication adjutant has called her “avatar”, the traditionalists have not accepted her as such. And the guard has called her “Jeedai” though also used “command me” as would she be higher ranking. She suppresses the urge to reach for her lightsaber. They are playing with her. Anger is boiling up within her.

But she can also play games.

The corridor is winding its way through the ship and soon Aeron has kind of lost the sense where in the vessel she is actually. Of course she can feel the living biots around her, the four presences of the warrior. The whole vessel is pulsating with life, she can’t differ in the distance between warrior or bigger biot.

Suddenly the guards come to a stop and the leader turns toward her, “He is expecting you, just step through the membrane.” He reaches for a knob above his head and it spills some of his blood tough the membrane dilates with a popping noise. Wary she looks at him and then the others and then nods and steps through the hole. As soon as she has pulled the second leg through it starts to close behind her with a slurpy sound.

Aug 31, 2009 6:38 AM | Report Abuse reply

Before her stretches a rather dark chamber with a vaulted ceiling. At the head of the room is a polyp throne and a shadow is sitting on it. With steady steps she closes the distance between them. As she is within five steps the dread one speaks, “Stop, that’s close enough.”

Aeron has the feeling that she has heart the voice before, that she has felt this presence but she can’t place it. Curious she looks at the shadow before her, not answering, that is his party, not hers.

“I called you here as ambassador for the Grey Jeedai and the Loyalists, are you able to speak for both of them?”

Aeron’s brow furrows at his words, “I suppose I can speak for both, but what I speak and what then is decided might be different.”

“You’re their Kage, you’re called avatar, how can that be,” he growls now.

“I’m not an empress whose word is law,” she answers in just the same manner.

The dread one raises to his feet, a male, dressed in pitch black armour that conceals his figure and makes him rather shapeless. There are no defined hips or chest, just darkness. “How can such a society survive that long without leadership?” he muses, amusement now in his words. He has read about the reports of senate meetings, what theatre they pulled there and probably still do.

“There is leadership,” she simply says, trying desperately to keep her hands and fingers relaxed. It would be so easy to strike him down, right here, right now and then have the traditionalists without leadership for a while till they reorganize. There might be in fights for the job. Maybe long enough to keep them unorganized to attack them.

“If you say so, but your people don’t even listen to you and you’re one of those ‘leaders’,” he simply says. His words hit their target, Aeron’s pride. Her current state of mind, the anger she still feels, the jealousy makes her an easy one for such taunting.

“I’ll deal with them when the time is right.”

“I follow the philosophy that punishment must follow immediately not when the time is convenient. How would they remember what was done wrong otherwise?”

“What did you intend to discuss with me besides your taunts?” Aeron asks him, she can feel how the Force is whirling inside of her, stored energy that seeks release.

“I asked you to come since you seem to be the most logical choice to talk with loyalists and Jeedai alike at the same time without having to talk to several people and listen to their tiring speeches. They mostly think themselves important when they are not, and those just love to listen to themselves. Hot air and a waste of time. Not even entertaining. You on the other hand, you’re entertaining. I’ve heard you even went through some shaping. You’re a worthy warrior as well. And you carry a crechling.” His finger with a long talon points at her stomach. “It is rather uncommon that warriors and leaders are carrying out crechlings. I hope it was not conceived in shame?”

Aug 31, 2009 6:49 AM | Report Abuse reply

Another squib, and Aeron swallows hard. “It is not your business if I’m pregnant or not, and it is not matter of this discussion. Right now it rather seems to me you think yourself self-important and love to swing useless speeches without coming to the point.”

“That is rather easy, die, and we send your bones back to those you consider you a leader. It would send the right message I suppose,” he stops and white shimmering eyes gazes directly at her.

Aeron doesn’t miss a beat with his threat, “How about you die and I send pieces of you to all your nice commanders, showing them what it means to mess with a Grey.”

In an instance she has her lightsaber in her hand, leaping up and toward the dread one. Who just barks a laugh before the floor beneath him gives way and he vanishes in a hidden compartment in the floor, the whole closing right above him. The lightblade passes through empty air and Aeron yells out in frustration and anger as she sees the dread one being swallowed by the ship.

As she lands she sends Force Lightening against the closed floor plating, torching the rock without real damage besides it turning black from the heat. Not that it would make a difference since it is already dark grey.

The membrane dilates open she has walked in earlier and the four guards storm in, amphistaff hissing in their hands.

Aeron directs the deadly energy toward the approaching warriors. The blue light licks it way forward, surrounding them, one after the other, penetrating the voduum crab armour. It has so much power behind it that the first two drop instantly while the other two continue forward though slowed down.

She jumps, her lightsaber up and let the Force carry her through the air, rotating around her own axis, cutting off the head of one of the remaining ones. As she lands on her feet she pirouettes on her heel, dropping down and severing the legs of the last standing warrior. Her eyes are sparkling golden, anger flowing through her. She is betrayed by the dread one, betrayed of the kill that looked so promising and sure just seconds ago.

Aeron doesn’t know to where the dread one has vanished, she can’t feel him anymore.

Anger fills her, completely, the dread one is not going to escape her, he will die, now.
