Yaga Minor was the Galactic Republic member world from which the Outbound Flight project departed into the Unknown Regions in 27 BBY. The planet's primary native species were the Yagai, insectoids with a hive-caste society. Yaga Minor was known throughout the galaxy for its major shipbuilding facilities.
History[edit] Inter- Sith Wars PeriodDuring the Inter-Sith Wars Period fallen Jedi turned Sith, Darth Desolous, was lured to Yaga Minor along with his army. Once lured to the world Desolous and his army engaged a small number of Jedi Knights. Shortly after the start of the conflict, a Jedi flotilla dropped out of hyperspace preventing the Sith and his army's escape. Outnumbered and out matched by the Jedi's forces Desolous was destroyed along side his forces.[2]
[edit] Imperial RemnantThe planet was one of the last strongholds of the Imperial Remnant. It featured a major cluster of shipyards that proved instrumental in Grand Admiral Thrawn's campaign against the New Republic, and was also the site of an important Ubiqtorate base.
At the time of the signing of the Pellaeon-Gavrisom Treaty in 19 ABY, Yaga Minor was the last shipyard under Imperial control. It was governed by Moff Kurlen Flennic. Just before the signing of the treaty, Yaga Minor was the site of the last battle of the Galactic Civil War.
[edit] Yuuzhan Vong WarDuring the Yuuzhan Vong War, Imperial forces fleeing from Bastion regrouped here before facing the Yuuzhan Vong at Borosk. A third of the Yuuzhan Vong fleet defeated there jumped to attack the shipyards, though they were repelled in short order.

The planet from which the Outbound Flight Project was launched, Yaga Minor was the sight of an Imperial Ubiqtorate base and shipyard following the Battle of Endor.
The Ubiqtorate base was housed in an orbital space station which had a unique design. Extending outward from the main station were a pair of corridor tubes that connected to outrider computer stations. This design, according to Imperial documents, allowed civilians to have access to information stored at the base, while keeping them out of the military section of the station. Grand Moff Tarkin maintained an extensive database at Yaga Minor, and wanted to ensure that his private files were never found.
The population of Yaga Minor strongly supports the Empire, so much so that any dissedents are taken care of by the local people without any help from the garrison stationed there. In fact, sometimes they are even called on to protect the dissenters from overzealous loyalists.

**The Twi'Lek touches a small device in her ear**
It appears that Empress Athena is having her own press conference...we go live now, with Da'na Kline.
*The view quickly changes to a Shistavanen*
We are now awaiting the Empress' response to this crisis...one that many Imperial citizens had heard rumors of, but had never seen.
*The camera quickly moves to an entourage of Imperial Knights and Guards, dressed in dark purple that appear*
And here she is, Empress Athena of the Reconstructed Galactic Empire!
*Athena appears, dressed simply, yet elegantly in dark purple robes, her hair neatly pulled back from her face. She looks up at the crowd and begins to speak slowly and smoothly, her words soothing to the ears of all who hear her*
Gentlebeings, friends, family, allies, compatriots. A tragedy has occurred.
*Her face shows slight pain*
I have recently been informed of several attacks on citizens at the Starlight Beach Club by the Yuuzhan Vong, a group considered long gone. Thank the Force, no one was severely injured. Nevertheless, the threat of the Yuuzhan Vong is still severe. And the question remains: what do we do about these potential enemies?
*She lets the question hang in the air for several seconds*
The answer, my compatriots, is neither simple nor quick. It is a tough decision, one that pains me to make.
*She looks directly at the camera*
The Yuuzhan Vong have threatened our society, our way of life, the lives of our citizens...
*She pauses. As she continues, her voice gradually rises in volume and in power, ringing true in many of the listeners' hearts and minds*
...the life of my son, all because of the Greys. The Greys refuse to give over to the Yuuzhan Vong that which is rightfully theirs.
Many years ago, a treaty was made; a treaty which granted the Yuuzhan Vong possession of the legendary, living homeworld, Zonoma Sekot. However, this treaty was violated when the Greys landed on the planet, with machinery that the Yuuzhan Vong considered sacriligious. The treaty was violated when the Greys chased the Yuuzhan Vong off their own homeworld. And the treaty was violated when the Greys refused to give them back what was rightfully theirs. This is unacceptable.
*She holds her hands out*
Dearest citizens, now is the time to show the true strength of the Empire. Join the Imperial Army, the Navy, the Intelligence, the Medical Corps. Volunteer. Donate. Support. For because of the Greys' poor actions, we are all going to suffer. The Yuuzhan Vong will see the actions of the Greys and attack at us all. But we, the Empire, we will survive! We will endure! We will conquer where others have failed! And it is not because I was the Empress; it was not because of my generals. It was because of the faithful citizens, the faithful allies, the faithful few who stood up to the injustice and said, "This is wrong and we will no longer stand for it!"
*By this time, her voice thundered in the conference room. Several reporters rise and begin to clap. Soon the whole room is thundering. Athena holds a hand and gently the crowd quiets*
I ask you to give what you can, for the survival of the Empire, but more importantly, for the survival of our lives.
*She bows her head and leaves, the reporters clamoring to ask her questions. Her spokesbeing appears and begins to answer the more pressing ones.
*The Twi'Lek returns to the screen, dabbing her eyes with a cloth.*
A stirring speech...to see the whole press conference, please head over to Imperial Holonet News.igv

Garik sits in his quarters aboard the Atrocity meditating. He reaches out with the force, trying to locate his wayward clone. His mind focusing on voids in the force, the sign of a taozin breastplate. He tries with everything in him but still feels nothing. His concentraition doesn't break as Tuulk walks into the Garik's quarters. "Milord, we have recieved word from Empress Athena. Our orders are to report to the Yaga Minor Shipyards and assume command of the facilities there."
"Splended, I get to reassume my old post." Garik speaks sarcastically as he opens his eyes and rises to his feet.
"Still can't locate MCD can you?" Tuulk says curiously.
"No, and he is proving to be a pain in the ass. I have already recieved a report that MCD has made his way onto a Grey Bounty list. I need to get him back to Bay 33K.
Tuulk shakes his head at Garik. "Milord, I understand you want to try and correct his madness, but the scientists have said that his condition is irreversable. He is a much bigger threat than you give him credit for."
Garik listens to Tuulk as he pours two glasses of Tihaar. Garik thinks about how right Tuulk is. Garik knows he should have killed MCD long ago but knew with his change, he couldn't order the death of something he helped create. His mind thinks of that, then he answers Tuulk. "That is why when I do see him, he will die Tuulk. Everything he does will come back on me because he has my face." Garik walks towards Tuulk and hands him a glass. He drinks his and Tuulk follows suit. He lowers the glass from his lips and looks to Tuulk. "You saw the report too didn't you Tuulk?"
"The Vong are a radically violent species. A giant leap from a zellot. The insanity their race accepts as truth is distrubing on a magnitude of levels."
"You feel we should destroy the Vong, Tuulk? They simply fight for what is theirs. The Grey did break the treaty did they not?
"They are not just a threat to the Grey or Empire. They are a scurge on the galaxy that will kill everything that does not conform with their ways. When fighting an enemy as such this, one must not pull punches and ally with such beasts." Tuulk says confidantly.
"You maybe right, but I follow my orders and right now those orders are saying Yaga Minor. So, focusing on now, when do we leave Captain?"
"We should be leaving for the Yaga System in the next twenty minutes.
"Excellent. Let's go to the bridge. I want to be there when we enter the system." Garik leads Tuulk out and towards the turbolifts. The two hardly speak as they make their way to bridge. Once there the bridge crew brustles with action. Stations are getting ready to make the jump to the Yaga System. Garik looks at Tuulk and simply nods at him, giving him permission to execute the jump.
"Engage the Aing-Tii drive" Tuulk orders. The navagation officer hits a series of switches on his console and the sound of a hyperdrive activating starts to whine. Almost as sudden as it started, the whine of the engines die. Garik looks down at the Navagation officer with an interested gaze. "What happened liutentant?"
"I haven't a clue sir." the young officer says nevously as he switches to a com line, contacting engineering. "Engineering, this is Lt. Khol. What is the status of the hyperdrive? Why haven't we jumped?
"Lt. Khol, Engineering. It appears several of the motivators have been damaged, exploding as soon as we activated the hyperdrive. It has knocked our primary hyperdrive offline. We are now switching over to back up systems."
Garik shakes his head as he thinks that MCD had something to do with it. He looks up at Tuulk. "So how long now?"
"With a class-6 hyperdrive? Three days, milord." Tuulk says confidently.
"I am going to my quarters. You have the con, Captain"

Moments later, Captain Noth appears in the command center awaiting the arrival of this fleet. He can't believe his eyes when sees the Atrocity and Shadow Fleet pass the moon of Yaga Minor and come into sight.

It is then the silence is broken."Yaga Minor shipyards, this is the Imperial starship Atrocity. Respond, please." a voice calls over the com.
"This is Platform 5, Captain Noth of YMS security. Nice to hear from someone friendly for once." the captain said with a nervous chuckle in his voice.
Then a new voice came over the com. "This is Admiral Garik Maj-Han. Captain Noth, I have been sent on orders by Empress Athena of the Reconstructed Galactic Empire to assume full command of the shipyards. I would like you to see that you get all Senior department heads together for a briefing."
Nervous, Noth chuckles. "Sir, the directors and their staff are all on the planet surface below. It will not be easy to get them assembled that quickly."
"I do not care how hard it will be or how you accomplish it; just see that it is done. We will also require docking ports for Shadow fleet; see to that as well Captain.
Several seconds of static fall over the line and just when Garik believes his subordinate has fallen off the line, Noth's voice now filled with contention comes over the line. "It will be done, Admiral. Platform 5 is full. You may dock your ship at the far end of the platform but your ships will have to go to platform 3 for docking."
"Very good, Captain. When it comes time for the briefing, please be there as well. I would like to meet the sentient that has worked hard to see my arrival goes without a hitch." Garik with a tone trying to counteract Noth's. "Maj-Han out." The Atrocity docks at the far end of the platform. When the seals open, Garik, Tuulk and a detachment of Shadowtroopers walk out and down the Access hallway that leads through the heart of the platform. People smile as Garik and his men walk the hall. One woman grabs Tuulk around the neck and plants a sultry kiss on his blue lips. Tuulk looks over to Garik with a suprised look in his eyes. Garik simply shruggs his shoulders. "Go with it..."
The young woman breaks her lip lock with Tuulk and puts her soft hand on his cheek. "Thank you... thank you for protecting us from the terrorists."
"Uh, it's our duty ma'am. We gladly do it, without thanks." Tuulk says with a nervous yet overly assuring tone.
"Well I hope my thanks will help you remember why you do your duty." The beautiful woman turns and waves to the passerbys as Garik and a now shocked Tuulk walk toward the control room.
"Did that finish you off, or bring you back to life?" Garik asks with a smile on his face.
"It... uh..."
"There are going to be a lot of those kinds of thanks if we ever have to fight off the Vong." Garik pats Tuulk on the shoulder as they continue to walk. "Now let's go shake the place up."
As the turbolift door opens, Captain Noth Appears from the lift and bows. "Admiral Maj-Han," Noth with proper decorum. "welcome to platform 5 of the Yaga Minor Shipyards. We have a conference room set up in sector seven for you. If you would kindly follow me."
"Have the senior department heads assembled there?" Garik asks inquizitively.
"Like I mentioned Admiral, most are still on the planet below and others are out on leave, but we have managed to get almost everyone here via holo."
"Well at least most of them are here." Tuulk adds with the best up beat tone he has.
Garik nods, understanding that he was expected three days ago and that these people have lives as well. "Well let us get this over with." Garik says as the group enters the conference room. Six holos and four living breathing people sit around a large black durasteel table. The troopers take positions around the room and Garik along with Tuulk walk to the two empty chairs in the room. Tuulk sits while Garik remains standing. "I am Garik Maj-Han. I have been sent here by the Empress Athena to assume command of the shipyards and it's production. I know most of you have never met me before. There are some that remember my last post here. I wish to assure you that this post will be different from my first." Garik looks around the room trying gage the situation. He can tell some of those in the room don't trust him because of his past station here. He can't read the holos of the other department heads but feels their minds are probably the same, undecided. Garik looks towards Captain Noth. "Captain Noth has brought you all here to hear what you already know. The hightened tensions between the Yuuzhan Vong and the Grey Jedi Order has spilled into violence. The Empire feels that the Grey have brought this on themselves by their prior acts against the Vong. I personally do not care. I am here to help ensure the safty of the Empire. If that means we need to be ready to fight off either the Vong or the Grey, we will need to be ready." Garik looks at the room as he continues to speak. "You all know what is expected of you, but now with this new threat, I will require more of all of you. We must return the shipyards output capacity."
Just then Noth steps forward. "I want crews running around the clock to fix all downed docks as well as any turbolaser placements."
"Actually Captain Noth," Tuulk speaks, "we are bringing in some solar ionization cannon placements to replace most of the batteries around the shipyards. Our crews will also assist with the repairs and instilation."
Garik looks around the room at the various faces."Let's get to work." The room empties leaving Garik, Tuulk, Noth and the troopers in the room. Garik turns to Noth. "Captain, I want you to oversee the repairs and instalation of the new placements. If you need additional men or materials, see Tuulk."
"Thank you Admiral."
"Don't thank me. Your position just got more involved Captain. You will answer to me and Tuulk, no one else. You seem to be a worthy officer Noth. Do not prove to be otherwise." Garik says with an affirmative tone as he and Tuulk walk out of the room.

*Garik sits meditating in his quarters aboard the Atrocity, his mind sifting through the force looking for peace in his angered mind. Colton's recent confessions to Garik about the bio-weapon, MCD, and his actions towards the Grey have shaken his hold over his darker tendancies. Garik focuses on his calming memories; memories of Lorana, LirTan... and Casey. Garik feels himself slipping into the embrace of the force, its energy sending waves over his being. It is said that with a deep connection such as this, one can see many things, go many places. Garik focuses, and sees through a vision a planet on the edge of the galaxay. Forces of light and dark surround and swallow the planet, the cackling shrouded face of MCD, a Vong female with eyes sharp enough to cut darasteel, and Athena. He can see them all hovering over the planet, looking down on it and all with the same look of victory in their eyes. And then... the sound of screams as the faces of Athena and MCD fade, leaving only the Vong. Garik's eyes open when he realizes what he is seeing*
"No?!"
*Garik immediately stands and teleports himself to the bridge. Tuulk turns and sees Garik standing with a look of urgency. "Milord? What is it?"
"Check the Imperial com signals. I want to hear the chatter."
*Tuulk walks over to the com station and turns on the speaker. Both Garik and Tuulk listen as the ships relay commands to one another* "All ships; break to pre-specified co-ordinace"
"Malcontent, understood."
"Plague, affirmative."
"Fervent, heading to target"
*While the ships continue to check off, Garik shakes his head. Tuulk looks at Garik, not knowing what Garik is so worried about, "Milord? What is going on?"
*A voice thunders through the comm units* "This is Empress Athena of the Reconstructed Galactic Empire. Stand down immediately or you will be fired upon."
*Garik, with a dry tone* We are going to Zonama Sekot. Get the ships ready to jump immediately."
*Garik's face is a veil of thought. He thinks to about what will come from all this. His vision was a dark one, with the end seeing a overshadowing by the Vong. Garik tries to settle his mind as he sits in his chair and sinks his head into his hand. This can be seen by all on the bridge, especially by Tuulk. he walks over to Garik and stands at attention in front of Garik. "What are we going to do milord?"
"I will know when we get there."
*Over the next hour, crews are recalled from leave, ordinence and supplies are stored, and preperations are made for the fleet to leave. As the ships break towards open space, Garik looks out the viewport and thinks about the next couse of action as Shadow fleet enters hyperspace*

*A female Twi'lek and a male Devaronian appear on Empire Tonight. The Devaronian hisses a greeting and begins, in clear Basic*
Good evening, Gentles! Much has been happening in the Empire lately. First we go to Rishi. Lecks?
*A human male appears on the screen, pressing his earpiece in his ear and standing in front of Rishi Imperial Educational Medical Center. He nods*
The Yuuzhan Vong biological weapon--known to many as the dweebit, a beetle like biot--has proved to not be fatal. However, many of the residents of Rishi are still skeptical.
*A pair of Ithorians appear on the screen, a husband and wife. The male says, in Ithorian, with subtitles on the bottom of the screen and dubbed in Basic*
I refuse to let anyone out of our house. The kids--they stay home. My wife and I leave only to go shopping. I have even moved work to my home, so I suffer even less exposure to this dangerous animal.
*Lecks reappears on the screen*
However, the scientists in charge of this project assure everyone that the dweebit is not lethal. It will cause flu-like symptoms for several days, along with a few other potential symptoms. Researchers are working on an immunization and a possible liquid prescription to reduce or eradicate the symptoms. Back to you, Blass.
*The Devaronian grins broadly*
Thank you, Lecks, for that update.
*The camera flips to the Twi'lek female. Her lekku twitch slightly*
In other Imperial news, Empress Athena has been shown alive and well.
*An image of Athena, walking around barefoot, appears. She slips out of one bar, waves, flips the finger to the camera and walks off, her hips swaying gently. ((Imagine this dress: http://www.katieholmespictures.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pid=37002&fullsize=1 ))*
She also has made a few statements about the recent revelation of her being a "Black Widow".
*Athena flips her hair back and tilts her head*
So I'm with a lot of guys...I like men, I like to be with men, and now that I'm alive, I'm not going to keep myself away. If people have a problem, they can *BLEEEEEP!!!* off.
*The Twi'lek reappears, her eyes wide and her lekku twitching*
So, our newly resurrected Empress won't be shut down, that's for sure. Her officials have stated she plans to make a formal public appearance later, her first since she was resurrected. No one is sure what this will consist of, but spectators assume it will deal with the role of the Emperor Cassus, who still has not been seen since before Athena returned and his dramatic exit back to the Throne Room, and rumors of the "New Sith Order".
*The Devaronian grins and nods*
Thanks, Leela. And now on to the weather, with Jerps...

Having taken control of the Ubiqtorate base on the planet Yaga Minor, Lorn Veed looks out of his view port at the soldiers. Most are of the feared Storm trooper class, others are regular soldiers. Though they are all of the Imperial Security Bureau.
He has constituted a secret organization code named the Shadow Marshall's, from here they will strike at the heart of their enemies. Using the orbiting shipyards as a means to gain more Capital ships to wage war on the weak New Republic and the Jedi Order. Soon it will be time to strike.

Sitting at the command chair aboard the Star Destroyer, Krayt dragon. Tyber Zann has been looking forward to breaking the mold he has had to wear publically for the last few months. Having made a name for himself during the Rebellion, he fought against the Empire, the newly created Rebel Alliance and the criminal underworld only to retire at the top of his game.
Now back and better than ever he has done it again, this time in the government. Though legal and under the table dealings he has risen up from the bottom, to become head of the New Republic only to pave the way for the RGE. With the rank of Moff, he was given the task to secure the Yaga Minor system for the good of the Empire.
"Captain, bring us out a light year from Yaga Minor. Contact the fleet and tell them to form up on us." Tyber orders the Captain, as he goes over the star charts on the display screen at his command chair. It has been years since he has had to plan a space battle or occupy a planet, but the basics were always the same. The four steps included Approach, Orbit, Invasion and Control.
The approach was tricky in some cases, drop out of hyperspace to early to scout the defenses out and they had time to gather and attack, to late and and close by the planet allowed them no time to gather a good defense. So Tyber's problem was how to set things up so that he had the upper hand.

Standing and walking to the bridges forward veiw port, he can see Yaga Minors' sun. Being a lightyear away from it, he knew it had been traveling a year to get to where his fleet was stationed. Leaning on the rail, he taps his fingers as his mind goes through plans and discards them of weak points.
His twelve Vengeance-class frigates had built in cloaking devices, the last of his fleet from the old days. If he sent them in first to form a blockade of the shipyards and planet, while they were cloaked it would offer a surprise if needed.
The main attack would come from the rest of his fleet. His three Nebula-class SDs would inspire fear and panic, and the Vic at his command will be excellant for planetary invasion when needed.
The shipyards were the goal of this mission so their safety was paramont. The best thing to do was to concentrate on the planet to instill dread, then they would submit faster in the end. Lost in thought he goes over every senerio he can think of and some he shouldnt. In the end he turns to walk back to where the Captain is standing.
"Captain, set up a Holo- conference with the other Captain in the my briefing room in twenty minutes. I'll be in my office, comm me when you are ready." Having been saluted by the Captain, Tyber heads to his office to finalise his plans.

Lt. Varss sits in the control tower office when a com line beeps in his office. Varss hated being bothered, the constant grind of having to deal with scum on a daily basis pushed the middle-aged security officer regularly. He wondered how after nearly 20 years working for the YMS Security Force that he was still a lieutenant. Maybe it was the docking accident with the Shooting Star Express that killed two senators on his watch that kept him here, or the fact he impregnated the daughter of Maj. Drax. For all his career, he had been passed up and was now forced to deal with slime. The mind behind his calm yet angry brown eyes could only imagine what this was about.
"What is it?" Varss says in a voice deep with grimace.
The sound of a younger voice comes over the com and sounds kinda scratchy. Varss recognized it immediately, it was Ens. Talmor. "Sir its time to for the watch change. You wanted me to let you know when it was that time."
Varss had a sinking feeling that in a few years he would be saluting Talmor, just like the most of the officers he saluted now. He could not shake this notion even as he "Thank you Ensign. I'll be down shortly to oversee the shift change."
With nothing more said, Varss kills the comlink and opens the drawer in the desk to retrieve his sidearm. Once placing it in the holster, Varss walks to the turbolift to head down to the monitoring station, his malcontent for life in the YMSSF on his face.

Waiting in his office aboard the Star Destroyer, Krayt dragon. Tyber needs more info before going any further. He needs to know everything he can to make the proper plans in order to procede.
Reaching over to his commstation, he flicks a button connecting to the bridge.
"Send me someone from Intelligence, I need a sitrep of population centers, military commanders and production abilities of the planet for the last five years." Tyber then sits back, as he waits he is still planning the next stages of his mission.

*As I sit in my chair with the others. My com jumps*
Boss man wants one of you.
*The others look at me expectantly*
Sure send me to the wolf.
*I sigh deeply and slick back my hair in a tight bun. I smooth down my military outfit that does little to conceal my figure, but it tries to. I turn and leave. I walk to the lift and then out to the Bridge*
You called Mister Zann?
*I bow low*

Looks up as the young woman enters the room. "Yes, come in and stop all that bowing. I am a Moff, not royalty."
Stands up and studies her, he had heard of her good work recently and was impresses with the way she handled her duties.
"Sit down and let's get down to business. What can you tell me of Yaga Minor, I know Intel has teams all over formerly held Imperial planetry systems." He sits back looking at her.

*I pull up my data pad*
Yaga Minor was the sight of an Imperial Ubiqtorate base and shipyard following the Battle of Endor.
*I shut my pad off and look at him*
What exactly are you looking for or are wanting Mr. Tyber, then I can help any way I can.

"If I wanted a tour guide or a history lesson I would have asked for one. You have guts I'll give you that for wasting my time."
Gets up and paces the floor.
"I want to know about military personel, local government something we can use. It's either that or going with my first plan of bombarding the planet with astroids." Looks at her with a smirk waiting for her to question his judgement on killing thousands of loyal Imperials.
