Naboo (pronounced /nə'bu/) was a planet that was the sector capital of the Chommell Sector near the Outer Rim territories. It was a largely unspoilt world with large plains and forests and oceans. It was mostly known as the homeworld of notable historical figures who played major roles in the downfall of the Old Republic and the rise of the Galactic Empire, namely Padmé Amidala, Supreme Chancellor Palpatine and Jar Jar Binks.
Geographic featuresNaboo was a geographically unique world in the galaxy. A plasmic molten outer core surrounded an inner core, believed to be composed primarily of a nickel-iron alloy, with very small amounts of some other elements. These elements were found in abundance in other chemical compositions in the galaxy, but it is the unique properties of the plasma which interested astrophysicists, plasma which the two primary civilizations harnessed to supply clean and efficient energy highly valued through-out the galaxy.
The plasmic magma "seethes and bubbled" from the center of the planet carving labyrinths of winding tunnels and caverns similar to lava tubes of traditional magma flows. Much of these abyssal labyrinths were submerged in great underground oceans, which were home to immense aquatic animals and creatures that were never seen on the surface. Animals such as the Colo Claw Fish, Opee Sea Killer, Sando Aqua Monster, and others inhabited this underworld realm. Gungans dominated these "underwaterways," using them as a highway of sorts between their surface Holy Places and their underwater cities.
The picturesque landscape around Naboo's capital city of TheedPlasmic eruptions found their way to the porous crust of the planet, affecting geographic features there such as mountain chains and plate tectonics.
The surface of Naboo was covered by dense swamps, rolling grass plains, seas and verdant hills. The largest mountain chain, the Gallo Mountains, bisected the largest continent and divided the great grass plains of the north from the Lianorm Swamp and bayous in the south. South of the Lianorm Swamp was the great Paonga Sea, where at the bottom lay the Gungan city of Otoh Gunga. The Lake Country was an area known for its natural beauty, and was home to many vacation estates.
Culture
The city of Theed, capital of Naboo.Historically the Naboo were a pastorial and nomadic people, migrating in tribes and clans on the vast "oceanic" grass-plains, with few settlements of substance. Tribes traced their decent from the colony vessels that brought them to Naboo, and clans traced decent from the founding settlers. The Naboo continue to place great value on genealogical decent, though by the era of Queen Amidala few families can trace their history to the original colonists with any certainty.
The Naboo developed into a classic feudal society with an hereditary noble class and common folk, though unlike most feudal societies, there is no record of a subservient serf class.
Naboo princely city-states traded with each other and with the Gungans. Generally the city-states acknowledged a ceremonial "High King"—a position that at times rotated between the tribal or city-state princes, though at other times was vested in an hereditary royal house. This ceremonial position was largely powerless and a form of peerage democracy evolved, though by the time of King Jafan the position became more substantial.
The Naboo eventually became known for being peaceful, enlightened, and artistic, among other things.
Adulthood and the right to vote is based on intellectual maturity rather than biological age, hence a reason for so many teenagers being involved in public service. The Naboo display a remarkable--perhaps unique--tendency to elect extremely young women to high public office (Queen and Senator Padmé Amidala, Queen Jamillia, Queen Neeyutnee, Queen Apailana, Senator Pooja Naberrie).
[edit] Settlements and regionsDespite nomadic elements in early Naboo society, eventually more substantial settlements emerged along trade routes and river crossings, or at defensible citadels, such as Dee'ja Peak in the Gallo Mountains. As one of the first human settlements on the planet, Dee'ja Peak retained a degree of prestige and reverence long after political power shifted to Theed. Keren and Theed both developed as farming communities whose over-production of foodstuffs provided for a large leisure class. Keren eventually became the commercial hub while Theed became more aristocratic. Kaadara developed as a coastal town for the few Naboo fisherman. Moenia was the first, and only, human colony built in the traditional Gungan homelands of the Lianorm Swamps.
The geographic features of the planet defined the regions of the grass plains in the north, the mountains in the center, and the swamps and bayous in the south.
The northern grass plains bordered the northern ocean, and were divided into regional provinces of the Great Grass Plains with Theed the major city, the Eastern Great Grass Plains with few settlements, and the Western Great Grass Plains with the seaside community of Kaadara and the commercial center of Keren. The Gallo Mountains regional province contained Dee'ja Peak and the Varykino, known as the Lake Retreat in the Lake District, while the vast Lianorm Swamp dominated the south with the city of Moenia the regional capital. Emperor Palpatine maintained an Imperial Retreat on a dormant plasmic volcanic caldera in this region.

The polytheistic Naboo worship many allegorical deities, such as the goddess of Safety. The deity of Shiraya reflects many aspects common to lunar worship found in many human cultures. However, the Mother Vima occupies the paramount throne in the pantheon of Naboo gods as the Mother goddess, or Gaia, common in many religious traditions.
Naboo Ancient philosophers are revered and honored as enlightened gurus, and with the reverence of family ancestors, form an important aspect in Naboo religous traditions. Paired statues of semi-legendary or archtypical gurus are prominently displayed in ranks on either side of the steps leading to the Theed Royal Palace.
Many devoted holymen and holywomen form monastic communities and orders, such as the Brotherhood of Cognizance, which focus on a particular deity or an enlightened guru. These religious orders are governed by a pontifex, and have a monastic heirachy typical of many human religious orders. Often the more ascetic orders may be found in remote and isolated locations, preferring a life spent in solitude, without worldly distraction and centered on peaceful contemplation.
[edit] Names of stateOften when a Naboo enters into political life he or she adopts a 'Name of State'. This name of state is used for public occasions and represents the honor and dignity of the office one chooses. Padmé Naberrie adopted the name of Amidala. Palpatine is sometimes thought to be a Name of State.
[edit] ExportsNaboo's main export was the plasma that flowed from below the surface of the planet. The plasma trade on Naboo began during the reign of King Veruna, and cornered by the Trade Federation, eventually leading to the Blockade of Naboo. Blossom wine was also one of Naboo's exports, along with fine art and architectural influence.
The footwear industry in Naboo was known to be specifically scarce, mostly because locals, particularly Gungans, were prone to go shoeless. Gungans wanting to work in footwear, such as Brute, were forced to relocate.

*The 'Hellfire' lands and Syaoran walks out. His hatred has been growing tremendously high, so he has come to Naboo to let of some steam. He enters a small town, and an old man comes to greet Sy. Syaoran force pushes the old man into a wall*

*He lets the rage take hold, unleashing the full sith power. The children, the women, elders, and even animal all killed in cold blood using just his saber. His power turning him crazier and more demonic after every kill. The last torture, was killing a young boy's family in front of his own eyes. Then completely destroying the village, torching the woods surrounding the area. There is rustling in a wind, two jedi appear from theed; a padawan and a master.*
Master- "Leave now Sith Scum before I have to force you"
Syaoran- "Come on you fool, come to your death....."
*The jedi blue blade extends*
Master- "Don't make me do this, my nephew. I raised you better then this"
Sy- Oh, it's you... the jack@ss that left me to DIE!
*Syaoran charges the master, force Horrifying the padawan into killing himself.*
Sy- "Follow your student to HeII."
*Syaoran stuns the Master, and begins to Guillotine, the lightsaber moving ever close to the jedi's heart, riping the skin.*
"That will teach you."
*Boards his ship completely blood stained, and plot a course for Athena's Throne room to find a spare room to sleep*

*Rose glares from behind a building as she sees Athena calling out for her. She is with Cassus. Katra and Gareth had left Naboo almost a month ago with Rose's son since Rose had heard Athena was looking for her. She had heard of the destruction of a planet in Athena's whild chase. This had made her angry and it still does. She continues her deadly glare as she rounds the corner of the buidling, her lightsaber in her right hand. The yellow blade is alive and shining brightly as Rose walks slowly and slightly tauntingly towards Athena* So, the bid bad b!tch has finally found me. I see you have a saber with you. Why don't you finally show me what you are capable of you tyrannical wh*re and attack me once for all? *Rose smirks slightly at Athena as she drops into a defensive position*

You ran from me once. I'm not making that mistake again.
*Athena leaps the rest of the distance and draws the blade up quickly, a strike towards Rose' heart. It was lethal, almost no way to dodge.
*Cassus, standing just behind Rose, saw the strike going for Rose. His eyes flickered briefly from Athena to Rose and back. In the blink of an eye, he knew what had to be done surer than most everything in his life. There was only one who could do it. And doing this would serve two purposes: save Rose and destroy Athena. His own life was inconsequential. It had always been, ever since the beginning, ever since he was a Jedi. It was Rose, it was Marcus he had to worry about now.
*Cassus leapt in between Athena and Rose, Athena's blade slicing through him. He screams in agony as Athena slices off his left arm. His right arm rises with its silver blade to block the rest of Athena's attack, but the damage has been done.
*Athena growls, without thinking, pivots the blade and stabs Cassus in the heart. Cassus squints, then collapses. He sinks to the floor, limp, his life over. Within a few moments, his body slowly disappears, his clothes left behind in a heap.
*Athena glances at the disappeared body, shocked at his sacrifice. Suddenly, much of her power and essence faded. The buzz of the Dark Side remained, but not in the potency as it had before Cassus died. She growled*

*She flips her blade and stabs at Rose's right shoulder*

*Rose shakes her head as Athena speaks* I will not run this time and when we are through, you will be unable to run. *Rose prepares herself as she sees Athena coming towards her, the Jedi begins to try and defend herself. However, she stops as Cassus leaps in front of her. Rose watches with in horror as Cassus is killed. She begins to shout out as he is murdered but can't find her face. It was almost like watching Euso die again. A few tears brim Rose's eyes as she looks up to glare at Athena. She wanted to kill the woman. This was too much. Rose needed to kill her and she need to use any possible damn way to do it. As Athena stabs at her right shoulder, Rose flicks her right wrist, bringing her blade to connect and stop Athena's. Then quickly she pivots on her left foot and spins around, ducking as she turns to avoid Athena's saber at shoulder height. As Rose makes it back around towards Crystal's left hip, she raises her saber and attempts to cut the woman in half. As her turn in ends, she stands to her full height and sends a Force push at Athena's chest. Rose's eyes begin to turn darker as her anger begins to heighten*

*Athena growls as Rose blocks her attack. She brings her saber over her left side, point down, hilt at shoulder height to block the attempt to slice her in half. She skitters backwards slightly at the Force Push.
*Gathering the Dark Side, Athena rushes at Rose, swiping upwards at Rose's right arm, hoping to take it off at the socket. She then draws the blade down diagonally across Rose' chest, from upper right shoulder to the lower left thigh*

*Rose watches as Athena comes rushing towards her. As the Sith swipes at her right arm, Rose moves her saber down to block Crystal's. The blades hiss as they clash and Rose places her left hand on her saber hilt as well, to stop Crystal's blade more fully. Since Rose stopped the blade, this ends Crystal's chance at slicing down Rose's chest. Rose smirks and turns her wrist 180 degrees in an attempt to slice of Athena's hand. She then takes a step back and with both hands on her saber still, raises her blade and thrusts forward with all her strength in an attempt to stab Athena in the heart*

*Athena's blade was caught. Rose's cut would connect. She tries to release her grip on the lightsaber, but it was too late. Rose's blue blade slices through Athena's hand, first the left, then the right. Athena screams in pain, the walls tremoring, debris falling on the floor and glass @#$%tering. The Dark Side was so strong, it was demanding. That was it, she would employ the Thought Bomb, destroy this Throne Room, tear down these Jedi. Sure, she might die, but at least Rose would too. She was strong enough to do it herself...she had, after all defied death once.
*Athena stood, about to unleash when suddenly something happened. Pain exploded in her chest. She looks down and sees Rose' blade sticking out. Athena whimpers as Rose grits her teeth in anger. She feels her life Force ebb, the Dark Side drain from it
*Time slows. She realizes that Stymie was right. That she was dying, her Empire would be in ruins. Everything she hoped and dreamed for...vanished. In one fell swoop.
*It was at that moment, when suddenly it seemed a veil was pulled from her eyes. She looked and saw not a Jedi Scum, but Rose, a friend, a fellow mother. She opened her mouth to say something, anything, but her mouth wasn't working. Tears spring to her eyes as she suddenly loses balance, Rose' blade now removed from her chest. Athena crumples to the floor, crying out in pain as she hits it. The cry is different this time. Not in anger, but in shame, in loss.*

To see her brother...no, her brother was already gone. Her hand.
*She reaches out with an arm, tears blurring what vision she had left. Her breathing was labored, but she had to say one last thing...one last cry before her voice was no more, before the Force took her home. For this time, she knew there was no more coming back. No more second chances. But what should she say? What could she say at a moment like this? What last words should she be known for? The clock was ticking, her life Force kept subsiding. She needed to get it out now, or she would be known for her silent death*

*She licks her lips, blood staining her dress. Her stupidly short dress. She reaches up with a hand, dropping it on her stomach when she lacked the strength*

*Rose watches with an almost dark smirk as Athena's hands fall to the ground and as Athena, herself, falls to the ground. Rose disengages her saber and walks in a menancing circle around Athena. She had done it. Rose had done. The Jedi had done it. She had killed Athena. She had given a huge blow and most likely fatal to the Empire and most of all, she had avenged Euso. She stares down at Athena and feels no sympathy for her. Athena deserved no such thing. Rose begins to turn to walk away before she hears Athena speak and a chill runs down her spine. The woman's voice... it sounded so sincere... so very... so very Crystal. Rose turns and looks to the dying woman, sudden tears forming in her eyes. She had killed a friend... but.. this was for the best. Rose gives a solemn nod to Crystal as she passes and then her body fades into the Force. Rose stares at the piles of clothing of both Cassus and Crystal. She stares for a long time, tears running down her smooth cheeks. Finally, she makes a move. She steps forward and calls Crystal's saber to her hand. Rose studies the weapon a few moments before looking to the sky* Crystal, I promise to give this to your son. He will recieve it, just as my son will recieve his father's lightsaber. You will not be forgotten. You walked the darkened path but you revived yourself at the last moment. You held on to your inner strength. You are an honorable woman. *Rose hangs her head, wiping her eyes before stepping forward and picking up Cassus' saber* And you Cassus. You saved my life more than once. I will keep your saber and I will give it to Ranik, so that he may know the brave Jedi who helped in the redemption of his mother. May the Force be with you both. *Rose glances at both piles of clothing before slipping the sabers into her bag. The Jedi pulls her hood up over her head and begins to walk off into the setting sun, never to be seen again....*

*The Silent Death exits hyperspace and enters the atmosphere of Naboo. He tracks the transponder of the Sith Victory and locates the Yacht. He brings the Silent Death in for a landing and then shuts down the engines. He runs out of the ship and begins looking around. He finally finds a couple of places that looks like its seen a recent battle. He then notices the blood. He gasps sharply and then drops to his knees in agony. Tears begin flowing down his face. A single cry is heard erupting from his lips.*

*The Ithilnaur appears in orbit and then Cate's shuttle leaves it and heads to the surface of Naboo after getting clearance. When it lands Cate quickly disembarks. She uses the Force to sense where Nic is following waves of pain coming from him. She moves quickly through the streets until she finally sees him. She rushes over to him.*

I don't know Nic. Those things depend on choices. You had it before Jade cast her spell and you talked with Jax. That could have changed the details that you saw in the vision. You do what you can. You are strong cousin you honor your love for her by living your life to the fullest. I felt her death she returned to the light before she died. She was sorry for what she had done as a Sith. Hold to that and those who love you. Jael, Jaems, your parents, ...*softly* and me.
