Greetings. I am Master Luke Skywalker. Here is your first lesson.

Self-discipline

Self-discipline was one of the key concepts of Jedi behavior, and Jedi Padawans were taught this from a very early age. The lessons started off similar to what might be taught to an ordinary student; however, as the student progressed, so did the complexity of the lessons.

Conquer Arrogance

"The acceptance of others is not a guarantee. Like everyone else, a Jedi is accepted or not based on his behavior. The Jedi who believes that he is more important than others only demonstrates that his opinion is to be ignored."

-Dooku

Jedi were required to learn that, although they were able to use the Force, they were no better than those who could not. Jedi were taught that they were only Jedi because some had taken the trouble to teach them, not because they were superior to others, and that a Jedi Master was only a Jedi Master because he had disregarded his own sense of self-importance and embraced the will of the Force.

Lessons 2 & 3

Conquer Overconfidence

"Overconfident thinking is flawed because the Jedi does not take all possibilities into account. He may understand the task at hand, the support of his fellows, and the ramifications of his success, and he may have even planned for unanticipated factors?but he has failed to understand his own capabilities. He has planned only for success, because he has concluded that there can be no failure. Every Jedi, in every task, should prepare for the possibility of failure."

-Vodo-Siosk Baas

Many young Jedi students, while learning the ways of the Force, began to believe that they could accomplish anything. Many young Jedi died taking on tasks that were far too difficult for them, not realizing that the Force was only truly limitless to those who had limitless understanding.

Conquer Defeatism

"Try not. Do, or do not. There is not try."
-Yoda

Young Jedi also learned that defeatism was just a dangerous as overconfidence. Although it might have seemed contradictory to the goals of conquering overconfidence, a Jedi would first plan for success, then for failure. Jedi who always plan for failure expected to lose, and usually only used minimal effort-enough to say that they had tried.

History of the Jedi Order. Lesson 1

"The Jedi Order, later known as the Old Jedi Order and referred to as the Holy Order of the Jedi Knights, was an ancient monastic peacekeeping organization unified by its belief and observance of the Force, specifically the light side.

The Jedi were the guardians of peace and justice in the Galactic Republic, and became the most famous of the various groups that relied on the Force for their power. Led by a series of Jedi Councils, the Order grew over the millennia despite facing many trials, most often threats from the Sith, wielders of the dark side of the Force.

During several Great Schisms, Dark Jedi broke away from the order. These schisms led to several wars including the Hundred Year Darkness after which the Dark Jedi fled and founded the Sith Empire.

The Sith were eventually found by the Republic and their discovery led to The Great Hyperspace War, and a Sith invasion of Coruscant. The Jedi on Coruscant, led by Jedi Guardian Anavus Svag and Jedi Master Memit Nadill, successfully defended the planet and defeated the Sith."

"For over a thousand generations the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic. Before the dark times. Before the Empire."
―Obi-Wan Kenobi

"You must remember that there are over a hundred thousand inhabited worlds in the Republic, and there are now only a few thousand of us. Billions of beings have never seen a Jedi. Millions have never even heard of our Order. Or of the Force. When we do appear, we can be killers, but also healers. Thank the Force for that."
―Obi-Wan Kenobi to Anakin Skywalker

Lesson of the day:

Caitlin Windancer is no longer my girlfriend. She cries all day long about how she can't be with the K man, but since she's not even close to the Jedi I am I dumped her.

History of Jedi Order Lesson 2

"But Sith wouldn't stay defeated for long and during the next several thousand years many wars would be fought against them.

A thousand years later, after The Great Sith War, the Mandalorians saw their chance and attacked the weakened Republic.

After the war, the Jedi that had led the Republic's military, Revan and Alek Squinquargesimus, disappeared. When they returned it became clear they had turned to the Dark Side, and during the war that followed many Jedi died.

During the aftermath the Order was left numbering less than one-hundred Jedi, until it was rebuilt by the Jedi Exile and the Lost Jedi.

Many years later the galaxy was again engulfed in a War between the Republic and the Sith. Led by Lord Hoth, the Jedi were able to regroup and push back the Sith, who eventually withdrew to the planet Ruusan.

After seven long battles on Ruusan the Sith were defeated and presumed wiped out. One of them managed to survive and reorganize the Sith Order.

Though Darth Bane and the Sith Lords that followed in his footsteps remained hidden, they were patient. Millennia later they revealed themselves, determined to have their revenge. After a crisis, the Republic was split in two and a war once again engulfed the galaxy."

History of the Jedi Order. Lesson 3.

"During the Clone Wars, the Republic's armies were once again led by the Jedi. During the first battle of the war, nearly two hundred Jedi died before Master Yoda and a Clone army arrived to assist them.

However, nobody expected that the Supreme Chancellor was in fact a Sith Lord. The Jedi eventually learned the truth, but it was already too late. The Order was virtually annihilated by the Sith and betrayed by the Republic they had served for millennia. Only a few survived the Great Jedi Purge.

However, the Jedi Luke Skywalker eventually defeated the Sith and formed the New Jedi Order during the time of the New Republic."

History of the Jedi Order. Lesson 4.

Earliest History.

"Many ancient and semi-legendary organizations have been proposed to be the forerunners of the Jedi Order, including the Order of Dai Bendu, the Followers of Palawa, and the Chatos Academy. No conclusive links have ever been demonstrated, though. It is purported that early Jedi learned morality from the Caamasi."

The earliest documentation of the existence of the Jedi Order indicates that the organization was formally founded on Tython around 25,783 BBY, several hundred years before the founding of the Galactic Republic. The galaxy's best philosophers, priests, scientists, and warriors had come together here millennia before to discuss their discoveries involving the enigmatic and mystical Ashla. Unfortunately, many became seduced by what was called the Bogan, and sought to seize power. The resulting Force Wars devastated Tython for over a decade.

The Order of Dai Bendu.

The Order of Dai Bendu, also known as the Bendu, was one of the many ancient and semi-legendary organizations that studied the Force and the midi-chlorians prior to the birth of the Jedi Order on Tython. The ancient order arose on the planet Thape and consisted of monks dedicated to non-confrontation and the study of numerology. The Bendu monks believed that the the number eight represented the unification of the galaxy by the Force, and the eight-spoked circular sigil they created later adorned the starfighters of the Jedi Knights and saw use as the insignia of the Old Republic. At some point, the practitioners of the ancient order were known to reside on the snow-covered world of Ando Prime.

The Insignia of Unity the ancient Bendu symbol used as the mark of the Jedi and seal of the Republic

The Followers of Palawa

The Followers of Palawa were an ancient group that studied the Force and midichlorians.

The Followers of Palawa fled their homeworld of Palawa to the nearby planet of Bunduki after Palawa was destroyed in a long-ago war somehow involving the Jedi Council.

The Followers of Palawa developed the martial art of Teräs Käsi as a means to keep the Jedi in check, presumably so that another world would not be destroyed by the Jedi Council.

(Teräs Käsi, or "steel hand" in Basic, was an unarmed combat discipline. It was created on the planet Bunduki by the Followers of Palawa. However, Teräs Käsi drew upon their own internal force power, whereas the Jedi draw from everything around them.)

During the First Great Schism, many of the Followers, including Arden Lyn, fell to the dark side and joined the Minions of Xendor.

(Minions of Xendor" originally referred to to the followers of Xendor, the first Dark Jedi, also once known as the Legions of Lettow. The phrase evolved over time into an expletive commonly heard among smugglers.)

The Followers were still in existence, as hermits, on Bunduki, in the years following the Clone Wars. The mother of Zan and Zu Pike placed her young daughters in their care during the first decade of the Galactic Empire.

Chatos Academy

The Chatos Academy is one of the many ancient and semi-legendary organizations that have been proposed as forerunners of the Jedi Order, but no conclusive links have ever been shown. The Academy originated on Palawa; it was a kind of chivalric order and its members were entitled Paladins.

The Caamasi

http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/c/c1/Caamasi_NEGAS.jpg

The Caamasi (pronounced /kɑɑ'mɑsi/) were a species of furred humanoids known for their compassionate and peace-loving nature; indeed, the name Caamasi came to mean "friend from afar" and "stranger to be trusted" in some languages across the galaxy.

Caamasi possessed great moral strength and respect for others. They were among the galaxy's finest diplomats and mediators, often solving severe conflicts in a matter of days.

It was said in ancient legend that at the dawning of their age of existence, the Jedi came to the Caamasi for instruction on how to dictate the moral use of their powers, which could explain why the teachings of the Jedi Code have a great deal in common with the oft-inherit wisdom of the Caamasi.

Caamasi had the interesting ability to share vivid memories called memnii with their near relatives and Jedi. A memnis was as vivid to one who received it as it was to the one participated in the event remembered.

Unfortunately, the Caamasis' pacifism was at odds with Emperor Palpatine's New Order, and they suffered greatly under Imperial rule. A few months after the end of the Clone Wars, the surface of their homeworld, Caamas was bombarded, killing millions. After the destruction of their planet's environment, many refugees moved to Alderaan, Kerilt and Susevfi.

Perhaps because of the closeness in their philosophy to the Jedi Code could be another reason why Palpatine felt it necessary to eliminate them.

"If the wind no longer calls to you, it is time to see if you have forgotten your name."
―Elegos A'Kla

Ashla

http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/c/c7/Lightsiders_btm.jpg

The light side of the Force, also commonly known as the Ashla or simply the Force, was the side of the Force aligned with honesty, compassion, mercy, self-sacrifice, and other positive emotions. For the most part, the Jedi simply referred to this as the Force.

"A Jedi uses the Force for knowledge and defense. Never for attack."
―Yoda

"It is simple enough to know the light. A Jedi must feel the tension between the two sides of the Force; in himself, and in the universe."
―Thon

Bogan

http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/7/74/Darksiders_btm.jpg

The dark side of the Force, called Bogan by ancient Force-sensitives, was an aspect of the Force. Those who used the dark side were known as either Darksiders or Dark Jedi when unaffiliated with a dark side organization such as the Sith. Unlike the Jedi, who were famous for using the light side of the Force, dark-siders drew power from raw emotions like pain, hatred, passion, and love.

"The dark side clouds everything."
―Yoda

"The dark side offers power for power's sake."
―Darth Revan's Holocron

Tython

http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/2/21/Tython-TOR.jpg

Tython was a planet in the Deep Core. It was the planet where the Jedi Order originated, in the form of the first society of Force users in known history, sometime between 36,453 BBY and 25,990 BBY.

"Though still committed to defending the Republic, the Jedi relocated to their ancient homeworld of Tython to rest, meditate, and seek guidance from the Force."
―Gnost-Dural

"How am I to know the good side from the bad?"
"You will know, when you are calm. At peace, passive."
―Luke Skywalker and Yoda

History of Jedi Order. Lesson 5

Early history(continued.)

From the ashes of these wars arose the early Jedi, and their Jedi Forge initiation ceremony, which led to the eventual invention of lightsabers after they faced threats from beyond Tython.

Through the use of advanced off-world technology, the Jedi were able to "freeze" a laser beam, resulting in the birth of the lightsaber.

A proactive group left Tython to liberate other worlds, becoming the Jedi Knights. They founded a philosophical school on Ossus, defining the light side and dark side of the Force (equivalent, respectively, to the ancient Ashla and Bogan) as well as the Living Force and Unifying Force.

Around 25,053 BBY, the Galactic Republic formed. Within a century, the Jedi swore fealty to the young government.

The Republic mapped the Perlemian Trade Route, which linked Coruscant with Ossus, and the Jedi fortified themselves there to defend the Republic from external threats.

In the event historians now know as the First Great Schism, dissidents who used the Bogan eventually arose again.

The Dark Jedi General Xendor and his Legions of Lettow allied with a master of Teräs Käsi, Arden Lyn, and her Followers of Palawa from Bunduki.

In a climactic battle, Xendor was slain, Jedi Master Awdrysta Pina stopped Arden's heart with morichro, and Lyn killed Pina with the Kashi Mer talisman.

The Galatic Republic

The Galactic Republic was the galactic government prior to the establishment of the Galactic Empire in 19 BBY.

Although it was commonly known as the Old Republic, this was not so until the establishment of the Empire; its name when it existed was the Galactic Republic, or simply the Republic. Rarely, it was referred to as the First Republic. At times, the term Old Order was used to describe it.

The Republic, led by a Supreme Chancellor, had a supposedly democratic government that was able to sustain itself for over twenty-five thousand years. It is said that its complete history would "fill a thousand libraries".

In its latest years, it was a benevolent—though ineffectual—government tied up in layers of bureaucracy.

"The Old Republic was the Republic of legend, greater than distance or time. No need to note where it was or whence it came, only to know that… it was the Republic."
―From the Journal of the Whills

The Perlemian Trade Route

The Perlemian Trade Route was a vital trade hyperroute that ran through the galaxy. Along with the Corellian Run, it was one of the two routes that made up the border of The Slice. It was founded c. 25,000 BBY, linking the young Galactic Republic with Ossus. The forces of the Republic and of the Tion Hegemony used the route extensively in their conflict.

It began at Coruscant and passed the worlds of Anaxes, Corulag, Brentaal IV, Carida, Nak Shimor, Taanab, Kulthis, Rhen Var, Sorjus, Vaynai, Makem Te, Ter Abbes, and terminated just past Quermia. It also passed the Roche Asteroids, The Wheel, and the Cron Drift.

The First Great Schism War

The First Great Schism was the origin of the first split between the Light and Dark Jedi. It occurred around 24,500 BBY.

The Legions of Lettow was first established by dissident Jedi who believed that true power was achieved not through pensive meditation, as taught by their Jedi Masters, but through emotion.

The tension between the Jedi and these dissident fallen Jedi, led by General Xendor and his lover Arden Lyn, grew until conflict erupted.

They ended when Xendor was slain and Awdrysta Pina stopped Arden Lyn's heart.(I will go into more detail about this later.)

The Legions of Lettow(Also known as the Minions of Xendor)

Legions of Lettow was the name given to the earliest organization following the Dark Side of the Force.

These Legions adopted the ancient Jar'Kai fighting art, calling it Niman, after the triumvirate of Kashi gods.

They were founded and led by Xendor, the first Dark Jedi, and then, after his death, by Arden Lyn.

The Ancient Jar'Kai fighting art(see also Niman fighting art)

Jar'Kai was originally a style of swordplay that utilized dual-blades, developed by the Yovshin Swordsmen.

The Jar'Kai style developed by the Yovshin Swordsmen was named for a city on Atrisia.

The city of Jar'Kai was also the site where the original Jar'Kai dueling sabers were crafted. These weapons were utilized by the Yovshin and were designed for the express purpose of being dual-wielded.

Dual-blade fighters, whether classical Niman duelists or individuals applying the Jar'Kai tactic, were able to maintain a strong offense, as the speed of attack that two blades allowed overwhelmed most opponents.

A typical maneuver was to continually attack with one blade whilst relying on the other for defensive purposes, such as parrying. However, it was common that both blades be used for offensive purposes, keeping up a constant wave front of attack.

Another advantage of Jar'Kai was that the two blades made it easier to hold off multiple opponents, as one had more blades to parry with.

Dual-blades could also be used as a defensive or compensative measure when engaging another opponent who utilized multiple blades in combat.

Known Jar'Kai techniques and maneuvers include the "Rising Whirlwind", which consisted of a duelist swinging his dual-blades about his body, creating a "whirlwind" of deadly attacks, and the "Twin Strike", in which both blades were swung in an arc towards the opponent in a deadly power attack.

http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/f/f7/Tranquility_detention_blocks.jpg

Despite the advantages offered, Jar'Kai was not without it's drawbacks.

Firstly, as both hands held individual lightsabers, two-handed blows were impossible, and the duelist was unable to put all his or her weight behind blocks, weakening the defensive capabilities.

Thusly, an enemy with a single hilt could simply assault a Jar'Kai practitioners defense with brute force, battering away until the dual-blade duelists guard gave way, as shown during Anakin Skywalker's duel with Asajj Ventress on Yavin IV.

http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/b/b9/DOY41.JPG

A similar dual-blade technique referred to as Niman was developed by the Royale Macheteros of the Kashi Mer monarchy. Niman was adopted by the Dark Sider group known as the Legions of Lettow during the First Great Schism, as well as the Jedi Order itself.

Niman was developed into the sixth form of Lightsaber combat, retaining its name, while Jar'Kai became something of a blanket term for dual-blade combat.

It should be noted that the fourth form of Lightsaber combat; Ataru; was also known to employ dual-blades as part of its training regime.

"Perhaps you would like to learn something before you die. The use of two blades, one to support the other, can be traced back thousands of years and was common to both of our species. The invention of lightsabers has done nothing to lessen the effectiveness of this strategy—as you are about to learn."
―Bocas'eca to Kyle Katarn

Kashi

Kashi was a planet in the Kashi system, rimward of Corva Sector, and apparently near Belderone Sector.

The Kashi Mer Dynasty, an isolationist Human civilization located in the Phellem Sector, reached its height in 29,000 BBY as the culture discovered ways in which to control and manipulate "the Breath," also known as the Force. The mystic Force organization that manipulated the Force was known as the Guardians of the Breath.

The culture was wiped out when the primary star supporting the planet Kashi went supernova in 25,000 BBY, and the entire system was destroyed. Prior to this, the Kashi Mer talisman was stolen from the planet, and the supernova occurred shortly after the thief, Reda Jalooz returned to the planet seeking forgiveness. The Orixon Nebula's black halo is the remnant of the planet.

The monarchy was guarded by the Royale Macheteros.

Morichro

Morichro was a powerful, but potentially dangerous technique of the Force.

Similar to a Force trance, Morichro suspended biological functions, including breathing and heart rate.

A trained Morichro user could turn the technique upon himself, surviving without food, water, or even air for periods of over a year at a time, though it would not protect against vacuum.

But unlike a Force trance, it could also be turned on others, making it an effective way of subduing enemies.

However, failure to monitor a targeted opponent could render them permanently unconcious or cause them to die of dehydration or starvation.

Despite its deadly potential, Morichro was not practiced by those who used the dark side, as it required a mastery of a less malicious use of the Force than most darksiders traditionally employed.

"A Force technique, it is. The body functions of targets, it rapidly slows. Most effective for subduing opponents this is. Yet dangerous, too. Constantly monitored, a target must be. Fail to reverse the process should the Jedi, indefinite the unconsciousness can be.

Die of dehydration or starvation, can an untended target. Realized this, the ancient Jedi did. Much research into history have I done. Known to use this technique dark side Force-users are not. Not malevolent is Morichro. To master Morichro, less malevolent uses of the Force must a student master first."
―Yaddle

The Kashi Mer talisman

The Kashi Mer talisman was a Force artifact from the ancient Kashi Mer monarchy.

It was used by Arden Lyn, the consort of Xendor, to preserve her body for thousands of years before she was restored. It was later sought after by the Dark Jedi Durrei, in competition with the Rebel Alliance.

The talisman was a prism-shaped piece of gray rock, measuring approximately 20 by 10 centimeters.

The artifact was endowed with dark side powers and radiated an aura of evil. The rock was cool to the touch, and conveyed a sense of power to its holder, endowing them with the knowledge of the relic's full potential. This was believed to be the ability to tap directly into the dark side.

http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/7/7a/Durrei2.jpg

"I knew this relic was important."
―New Republic officer Naren Bluuis

The Unifying Force

The concept of the Unifying Force found less supporters within the Jedi Order than the Living Force.

The concept of the Unifying Force was that the Force is a single entity and has neither a light nor the dark side. The Unifying Force was viewed as a deity that neither had sides nor chose them, treating all being equally.

Followers of the Unifying Force always kept their eyes for future possibilities. In the end, in resulted in them trying to fulfill a destiny rather than focusing on here and now, as the Living Force supporter would do.

Visions of the future were of particular significance to Unifying Force supporters, such as Yoda, who was one of the most adamant proponents of this belief.

Many other Jedi were followers of the Unifying Force, and focused on the flow of time as a whole, ignoring primary use of the Living Force.

Voices for the latter espoused a philosophy of "live for the moment" and heavily relied on their instincts. This viewpoint might have allowed the Jedi Order to stave off the conflict that gave rise to the Galactic Empire, as its members lost themselves in looking forward rather than analyzing the unfolding events before them.

Ironically for those Jedi, Emperor Palpatine, also known as Darth Sidious, also supported this belief. He claimed that there was only one Force: the only difference worthy of note was that the Sith saw the Force as a means to an end while the Jedi saw it as an end in itself.

This view was also supported by Vergere, who taught Jacen Solo that there was no light side or dark side of the Force—only the Unifying Force. Vergere also told Solo, "the Force was everything, and everything was the Force"; that the Force did not have sides and never took sides.

"The reality is that there is only the Force. It is above such petty concepts as positive and negative, black and white, good and evil."
―Darth Sidious

The Living Force

"It's an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us, penetrates us, and binds the galaxy together."
―Obi-Wan Kenobi —

The Living Force was a view on the Force, accepted by the majority of Jedi throughout ages.

The Living Force was thought to be present in most living beings, surrounding and penetrating them, thus making all living things connected by it.

The Jedi believing in Living Force relied on their instincts and were attuned to other living being around them. They were mindful of the future and the possible consequences of their actions, but remained focused on the present.

The Living Force was viewed as having both the Light and the Dark side.

The Jedi always had to be mindful of their actions to avoid the temptations of the Dark side.

Through following the Living Force, several Jedi were able to retain their identities after their physical death, becoming one with the Force and able to manifest themselves as Force ghosts.

http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/e/e4/PowerFromWithin.JPG

Proponents of the Living Force view, such as Qui-Gon Jinn, espoused a philosophy of "living in the moment," relied heavily on their instincts and concentrated more on sensitivity to living things, rather than fulfilling destiny.

"The ways of the Living Force are beyond our understanding... But fear not. You are in the hands of something much greater and much better than you can imagine."
―Qui-Gon Jinn

History of the Jedi Order. Lesson 6

The Second Great Schism, the first Dark Jedi and the Hundred Year Darkness

The Republic and Jedi fortified Ossus, Falang Minor, and Haashimut to protect the Perlemian from the Tionese and Hutts.

In 7,000 BBY the Jedi suffered the Second Great Schism, resulting in the Hundred-Year Darkness.

This conflict ended with the Battle of Corbos 6,900 BBY. The surviving Dark Jedi fled to Ziost and founded the Sith Empire.

Falang Minor

Falang Minor was a planet in the Outer Rim. Similar to Ossus, it was a fortress world of the Galactic Republic—colonized c. 24,000 BBY—from which the Jedi kept a watchful eye on the hostile Tion Cluster.

Haashimut
Haashimut was an Outer Rim planet. It was a Republic fortress world and was founded in the same year as Falang Minor by the Jedi and for the same reason to keep and eye on the Tion Cluster.

Tion Cluster

The Tion Cluster was in the Outer Rim near Rhen Var.

The Galactic Empire divided the cluster into three sectors: the Allied Tion Sector, the Tion Hegemony, and the Cronese Mandate (the former Cronese Sweeps).

The Cluster was at the edge of one of the Galaxy's spiral arms. Just Coreward of the Cluster was the Cron Drift and the former Jedi stronghold of Ossus. The Perlemian Trade Route passed close to the Cluster at Lianna.

The Cluster contained about 12,000 stars, orbited by almost 600 habitable planets. Of these 600, 464 were part of the Cronese Mandate. The other 136 were divided between the Tion Hegemony and the Allied Tion.

Interestingly, the Tion Cluster had inhabited Human settlements pre-dating the Old Republic and several planets in the Core Worlds.

The Humans were descended from a lost sleeper ship from Coruscant. The Humans developed a mixed society with Rakata castoffs, and utilized some of their technology to create beam tubes circa 27,000 BBY, and eventually limited hyperdrives that relied upon fixed-position hyperspace beacons. Rakata Force-sensitive technology was also present in Xim's war-robots

Tionese (people)

The Tionese were a Human species descended from the Humans of Coruscant. The Tionese established a proud ancient civilization within the Tion Cluster in opposition to the Galactic Republic established by other Human colonists in the Core Worlds.

Tionese divergence began circa 27,000 BBY, when a Coruscanti "sleeper ship" reached the Tion Cluster. The Tionese wasted no time establishing a new society, including technological advancements like beam tubes and their own version of the hyperdrive.

This local hyperdrive variety fused bits of ancient Rakatan technology with fixed-position hyperspace beacons, which allowed travel within a defined area but was dangerous when venturing outside the "lighthouse" network.

This kept the Tionese isolated from the rest of the galaxy for millennia, though they occasionally encountered the growing Hutt Empire.

From 25,130 BBY to 25,100 BBY, Xim the Despot (the son of a pirate whom in the Cronese Sweeps had carved for himself his own domain: the Kingdom of Cron.) attempted to vanquish the rival Hutts and become the master of the entire Si'Klaata Cluster during the Hutt-Xim conflict.

This campaign included the devastation of the once-lush Hutt world of Ko Vari in 25,105 BBY. However, at the Third Battle of Vontor, the Hutts unleashed their newly-found army of Klatooinian, Vodran and Nikto mercenaries on Xim's War-Robots.

According to Tionese lore, Xim was killed in combat though he had actually been captured by the Hutts and would die as a slave at the palace of Kossak the Hutt on Varl.

However, his treasure ship - the Queen of Ranroon -escaped to the planet Dellalt, where it would remain hidden for millennia.

Following the battle, the Treaty of Vontor was signed by the Hutts, Klatooinians, Vodrans, and Nikto. This treaty set the Hutts up as eternal overlords of the three other species and of the Si'Klaata Cluster.

Following that, Xim's empire collapsed into several feuding states, including the Honorable Union of Desevro & Tion, the Indrexu Confederation, the Jaminere Marches, the Keldrath Alignment, the Kingdom of Cron, and the Thanium Worlds.

Later, the Tionese states came into contact with the Galactic Republic and attempted to conquer it by traveling on the Perlemian Trade Route though the Tionese were halted by the establishment of the outpost world of Ossus.

During the Tionese War in 24,000 BBY, the Galactic Republic came into conflict with the Honorable Union of Desevro and Tion which resulted in the capitals of both governments - Coruscant and Desevro - being bombed by pressure bombs.

However, the Republic won the war by using its agents to stir up trouble in Hutt space, thus worsening the divide between the Hutts and Tionese.

Within a century, most of the Tion Cluster had joined the Republic, with the exception of Desevro, which chose to remain independent. As a result, the once proud Tion Cluster became a backwater.

However, the planet Lianna became the headquarters of Santhe/Sienar Technologies sometime during the Galactic Republic era. Under the Galactic Empire, the Tion Cluster was divided the into three sectors: Allied Tion Sector, the Tion Hegemony, and the Cronese Mandate (the former Cronese Sweeps).
