*Luke looks at the stream next to him, at the water flowing downstream, it's flow altered by rocks and fish. He places his hand in the stream, the water flows around his hand, coming back together after passing his hand.*

*Luke thinks a moment, then pictures the Force flowing through a room or crowded town square. As the Force flows through living things, it's currents remain unchanged. But put a Yuuzhan Vong or a ysalamiri in the crowd, and the Force alters it's path in space and time, moving around the them instead of through it. This creates a void in the flow of the Force.*

*Granted, ysalamiri will produce a similar effect. Both the Yuuzhan Vong and the ysalamiri could be detected by the sudden absence of the Force when there should be a continuation of the Force in space and time.
