Profile of the Week is a competition to allow World of Star Wars members to recognize the work of other members.
* "Alternate profiles" -- 2nd or 3rd accounts owned my members of this site -- may be nominated for Profile of the Week, even if the account owner has already won for another account. This DOES NOT mean that you can/should open another account, re-upload your pictures, and begin nominating yourself. New and original content is key. Accounts like The Best Collection Awards, Jabba the Traveler, Boba Chopper, and Reverend Mandrake would all be eligible "alternate profiles".
- Every site member may vote once per week. You may not change your vote after it has been cast, so be sure of your choice.
* You may vote for someone who has already won. Because it wouldn't be fair at this time for repeat winners, you'd be throwing your vote away. So don't vote for someone who has already won.
- You may vote for yourself. You may be "Boo!"ed as a result and pummelled with bantha patties, but self-voting is allowed.
* You may advertise this competition. In fact, you are asked to advertise this competition. Through the attention and support of WOSW members, this competition survives. Put together the best profile you can, add a link to this thread in your blog, and members will undoubtedly follow the link and put your name down.
-----But, the appearance of lemming-nerfs has made it necessary for direct "Vote for me" campaigns, posts, e-mails, private messages, etc. to be made off limits. Encourage your friends, enemies, and companions to take part in Profile of the Week, but also encourage them to think for themselves. (Besides, if they're weak-minded enough to take even the simplest command to heart, do we really want them as friends? Enemies, maybe, but would you want your enemy voting for you?)
- This is not a chat thread. If you have questions, concerns, topic-based opinions, sure, post them here. But this is not the place for "Hey, ___________! How are you?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
** Week-long bannings from this competition will be handed out on a case-by-case basis, depending on how severely a rule has (or how many rules have) been broken.
On Friday, at approximately 4 p.m. PST, 7 p,m. EST, we'll start a new thread announcing the winner of The World of Star Wars Member Chosen Profile of the Week. Until then, use this thread to vote for the member you feel has the most deserving profile.
