Republic Assault Ships
Republic assault ships are used to transport gunships full of clone troopers under powerful protection. Also known as Acclamator I-class Assault Ships, Republic Assault Ships were the fore-runners of the Star Destroyers. They were capable of transporting thousands of troopers, tanks, fighters, and walkers and were also used extensively for space combat during the Clone Wars.

The latest series from the Star Wars franchise, "Clone Wars", will debut in the Fall of 2008, if George Lucas can find a network to show it. It will be a 3-D computer-animated series.
