Endor
The Forest Moon of Endor, also known as the Sanctuary Moon, is a moon located in the Outer Rim Territories. It became known throughout the Galaxy when the Rebel Alliance launched its final crushing blow to the Empire by destroying its new Death Star.

Behind the Scenes
The description of Endor 's planet has changed in different publications. In the film Return of the Jedi , a distant orb can be seen along with the green moon, but it isn't large enough to be definitively labeled a planet.
