The child of two Old Republic former Jedi who chose to leave the Order, Ambrraksha Carrick was born with the ability to see the future from a very young age. She was the only Jedi Consular unblinded by the rise of the Dark Side of the Force but was untrained and had no control, rendering her gift unusable by the Jedi Order.

When she was ten years old Emperor Palpatine gave Order 66, causing the death of her father as she, her mother and her Wookie guardian Yarapwyca escaped. Yarapwyca died in their escape from a desert planet in the Hapes system. Unable to avoid the Empire?s search patrols for long, they were discovered on a passenger freighter heading for the Outer Rim. The pilot panicked, sending the ship on an uncontrolled hyperspace jump into the dangerous Core Systems. Galatea was able to eject her daughter in an escape pod but she apparently died after she saw her daughter safe.

Discovered by a ship from the planet hidden deep in the Surtur system nearby, Ambrraksha was picked up by Captain Adega Aramys and taken to Saphroth, where she was taken in as a ward of the planet. After training at the Jedi Academy, Ambrraksha chose membership in the Order of the Children of Dawn and service to the planet that had saved her life and adopted her.
