Transportation: 'Astra', YT-1930 light freighter Specialties: Training. Former assistant Blademaster, co-head of BUDs and Shadow of the NJO. Healer. Bio: Ithilwen has always been curious. Since when she was a child she always wanted to leave Uvena and explore the galaxy. In her childhood she realized she could do things others couldn't, and her grandmother, also Force sensitive, explained her about the Force and its use. When she was old enough to fly a ship she left and started wandering in the galaxy, working as a scout or occasionally as a bounty hunter, thanks to her keen senses. During one of her travels she landed on Dathomir and met the Singing Mountain Clan, who let her join to teach her how to use the Force and how to fight better. After a few years she left to explore the planets of the Core, where she met a few Jedi who talked to her about the Order. She travelled to Coruscant and joined the NJO, that became like a second family to her. For a long time, as Knight and as Master, she tried to help to improve the situation in the Order, working in the High Council and as instructor in the SAA and BUDs. But even if things were improving, changes were taking a long time, and she started thinking a fresh start was needed. After a struggle with herself, she decided to leave to the NJO, and work to help creating and shaping a new group, the Knights of Ashla, with other Jedi that wanted just the same. She has hope Jedi can return to have their role in the Galaxy.
"Act like a Jedi, think like a Jedi, and hold to the Jedi Code. As Qui-Gon said, it is not an easy life. It is one of sacrifice and dedication. We stand together, or we will fall. And I am not going to let this Order fall. Whatever differences there are, get them worked out and realize who our real enemies are. Don't help them to destroy us, by doing the job for them." Emotion, yet peace. " 'There is no emotion, there is peace.' Emotions are a natural part of living. As the great sagas have shown us, Jedi are not immune to feeling emotions. This tenet is not to say that emotion does not exist but that it ought to be set aside. Emotions must be understood first, and it is a young Jedi's duty to explore his feelings. Unless a Jedi can confront his thoughts and feelings, he will never achieve peace. Emotions, then, are not to be overcome or denied, but rather understood and dealt with. This tenet could be modified to read 'Emotion cannot take away my peace.' " "Each and every day we are faced with choices and decisions. We have an opportunity to do the right thing. There are easy choices, and tough decisions. We need to pause and think about what is right, regardless of what our personal desire might be. In addition to doing this, we need to hold to the truth when someone tries to twist it for their own purposes. Do not be sucked in by lies and deceit. Stop, take a step back, and look at the big picture. Do not REACT to emotional buttons someone is pushing. Think about what they are saying, why they are saying it. If there are questions about something, then seek the person out and talk to them. " "Evil exists; it is intelligence in the service of entropy. When the side of a mountain slides down to kill a village, this is not evil, for evil requires intent. Should a sentient being cause that landslide, there is evil; and requires Justice as a consequence, so that civilization can exist. There is no greater good than Justice, and only if law serves Justice is it good law. It is said correctly that law exists not for the Just but for the unjust, for the Just carry the law in their hearts, and do not need to call it from afar. I bow to no one and I give service only for cause." -Boba Fett "No. Vengeance leads to the dark side. I won't be a part of something like that." -Zekk "A Jedi needs more than mere bravery: over-confidence has been the undoing of many a seasoned warrior." -Arca Jeth to Ulic. "Let the Force be your strength!" -Arca Jeth "Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it, or so they say." -Dorak "It is only through interaction, through decision and choice, through confrontation, physical or mental, that the Force can grow within you." -Kreia to Jedi Exile "To walk the path of the Jedi, one's spirit must be strong. That requires discipline." -Oppo Rancisis "Dark or light is not a feeling, but a choice." -Jai Maruk to Whie Malreaux "While it is true that a Jedi uses his power only for defense, never for attack, it is equally true that a Jedi must nevertheless prepare with great vigilance, for only the Force knows when you may face your greatest battle." -Excerpt from Jedi Master Vo'ren Faalo's Book of Practical Lightsaber Technique "I don't believe the training of a true Jedi comes from listening to lectures. I want to teach you how to learn action, how to do things, not just think about them. There is no try." -Luke Skywalker "When a Jedi behaves badly in public, an observer might think, 'If this Jedi is a representative of the whole Order, then plainly no Jedi is worth respect.' On meeting a second Jedi, who behaves better than the first, that same person might think, 'Does this say that half the Jedi are good, and half bad?' On meeting a third Jedi, who behaves as well as the second, the person thinks, 'Was the first Jedi an exception, then?' In this way, only by the good behavior of several Jedi can the public be certain that the poor behavior of one Jedi was unusual. Thus, it takes many Jedi to undo the mistakes of one." -Odan-Urr "May the Force be with all of us, and may the peace of this temple be ours, a place open to thought and speech, a realm of mutual respect, and a haven of shared noble purpose, let us take these seats together with no one above the others, may we work together free from restraints of ego and jealousy at this gathering, and all others to come." - Jedi Council Members (Wisdom from other cultures) "We shall extend and display respect to all others which reflects our own appreciation of humanity. - Take into account that great love and great achievements involve great risk. - When you lose, don't lose the lesson. - Follow the 3 R's: 1. Respect for self, 2. Respect for others, 3. Responsibility for all your actions. -------------------------------------------------------------------- FLEET: SSD Serenity 6 Corellian CR90 Corvettes 1) Ashla 2) Rejuvenator 3) Hornet 4) Nemesis 5) Dantooine Defender 6) Boldheart 2 Mon Cal Star Defenders 1) Viper 2) Wraith 1 Dreadnaught 1)Atlantean 2 Squads of X-Wing Starfighters 1) Eagle Squadron 2) Crystal Squadron |
