Real LifeMost of you know now that my dad was hospitalized about two weeks ago (two weeks?? Only two weeks??). Through this stressful time, I have been dumbstruck at how many of you took the opportunity and time to come by and let me know you were thinking and praying for my family. You guys are so amazing and I think I am the luckiest person, to say that I know you and consider you friends. Continue to keep my family and dad in your thoughts and prayers. Dad has been through hell and back, and I have no doubt that the road ahead will still be a little rocky. But with friends like you guys, I have no doubt that I will have the strength to go on. Not long after the divorce, Crystal was sent to a junior military academy for spreading rumors about an instructor. There she excelled and earned a place among an elite all-male group, called "The Bucks" of which Nick Owabi was also a member. She garnered the reputation for being belligerent, moody, tomboyish, impulsive, dare devilish, and quite the charmer (during this time, she also befriended "Rocket Head" Stymie). She graduated the Academy at the top of her class (the only female to do so) as second-lieutenant and was assigned to Dantooine on a routine mission, which she completed but also ended up exterminating an entire town because of some sexist remarks. Her superior officer, Lieutenant Burges, had her court-marshalled and reassigned to a more sedate station on Bastion. On Bastion, Crystal met and hastily married a man named Kaal, a bright historian and successful business owner. But the marriage didn't even last a year, due to wild claims of infidelity, power struggles, and bouts of extreme violence. Kaal repetitively tried to shoot down the divorce until Crystal turned to Reed for support. Reed aided the divorce, but at great cost to Crystal. She determined thereafter to never love again and focused on her military career, quickly rising to the rank of General in part to her aggressive tactics. While running the Starlight Officer's Club, Crystal learned of her Force powers, which she refused to explore until she signed up for the Boonta Eve Podrace 2. Concurrently, Crystal finally learned of her biological father, Pappy-Wan, her cousin, Jade Albrighte, and her half brother, Kejn Kurant. Crystal may have continued running the Club had Moff Annie not unveiled the truth of the Don-Emperor. Determined not to let the Empire die, Crystal assumed the role of Empress and renamed the Empire, the "Reconstructed Galactic Empire". Around the same time, Darth Lonefire approached her and offered to train her as a Sith to assume her place at the head of the new Empire. She quickly accepted and took the name Darth Athena. After much training, Athena was given her own apprentice, Darth Nahema, Lonefire's daughter. While training her apprentice, she strengthened the Empire and recruited many, including Starkiller. The Empire then expanded into Corellia, Commenor, Duro, Eriadu, and other planets. Increased hostilities between the KoA and the Empire broke out into war over Dantooine, while Athena was in peace talks with representatives from the KoA and the Greys on Coruscant. With the demise of the KoA, the Empress has heard the planets' cry for aide and has claimed the galaxy under temporary Imperial control. After successful rollout of Imperial rule in the galaxy, Athena announced Imperial Restoration Week to celebrate the uniting of the Galaxy under the Reconstructed Galactic Empire with an exclusive party on Corellia at the Empress' royal residence. But the festivities were ruined by an anti-Imperial faction, led by traitor, Lieutenant Everette, who penetrated the Empress' residence and a Jedi. The residency was destroyed; fortunately, the Empress was saved, thanks to the courage of General Lorana and Colonel Casey. After an accident, SK built a new Throne Room on Bastion where they have welcomed a son, Ranik Light. She accepted Gaven Chasta as an apprentice and renamed him Darth Osiris. Then the Yuuzhan Vong situation presented itself. Seeing an opportunity to get rid of the Greys, she made an alliance with Warmaster Merkal-shej. Gathering a massive fleet, she attacked Zonoma Sekot. However, Darth Xerxes and Admiral Garik turned against her, sending most of her and Lonefire's fleet to dust. When she landed on the planet to negotiate, Sekot itself sent a fire storm and she perished. She leaves behind many loved ones, including SK, Ranik, Nick, Nomi, Pappy, Jade, and Cassus.
