Epilogue: Crystal Starr Light

What Happily Ever After should Crystal have? Help me and vote for which version you like the most!!!

A gentle breeze sent a wisp of black hair across her face. Crystal twitched her nose and gradually opened her eyes. She shut them hurriedly as the bright sun burst into view. She smelled the sweet, salty air and heard the booming thunder of the ocean waves. She turned her head and opened her eyes again. The brightness still smarted her eyes and she blinked and squinted.
Resting a hand to the side, she pushed down only to have it give way. She squinted at the hand and saw it sank in sand, brilliant white from sun and wave. She closed her hand into a fist and raised it, watching as the sand raced from the gaps and flooded back to the shore.
Rising to a sitting position, Crystal looked around at the white beach, the gentle sea-green waves. She can't help but smile as the salty air tosses her hair, at the sight of beautifully brilliant green palm trees rises along the shore.
"Crystal!"
Crystal turned to see a slightly darker figure against the sand move towards her. She squinted a moment and realized who it was. It was Nick.
"Nick?" she asked, stunned. She scrunched her legs under her and slowly rose to standing. The sand felt hot between her toes. She hopped on one foot than the other.
Nick laughed and moved to her side, dropping a towel onto the sand. "Stand on that or you'll burn your feet."
Crystal hopped onto the towel, her feet immediately cooling from the smarting sand. "What the...you're here!" she gasped, frozen in place.
Nick smiled. "Yeah, I'm here." He leaned forward and wrapped his arms around her waist, giving her a small tender kiss on the cheek. "I've missed you."
Crystal held his chin with her right hand and stared into his eyes. She whispered, "You missed."
Nick looked confused for a second; then Crystal leaned forward and kissed him on the lips, wrapping her arms around him. The two stood for a moment, leaning against each other. Crystal finally broke the silence. "I couldn't have asked for better had I made a list."
Nick grinned, his hand smoothing her hair. "Yeah, me too."
Crystal backed up, her face devilish. "You know what?"
Nick looked at her, curious. "What?"
Crystal grabbed his arm and pulled him towards the water. "I never taught you how to surf."
Nick's face broke into a wide grin. "No, you didn't."
"You have time now?" she asked, continuing to pull him towards the shore.
Nick smiled, his love for her plain in his eyes. "I have all the time in the world for you."
Crystal grinned, a tear in her eye, touched at his words. She turned and ran towards the shore, calling back, "Last one to the waves is a burnt Ewok!"
Nick grinned back and began to run after her.

Version 1
A gentle touch on her face woke Crystal with a start. She stared into the darkness. Blinking rapidly, she tries to rise, but a warm hand pushed her back. She reached for her blaster on her hip, but it wasn't there. "Who is it?"
A small spark and a brief flicker of a light from a candle appeared. It's gentle glow cast eerie shadows on a man...on her ex-husband, Kaal.
Crystal jerked back, pulling away from him. "What kind of a nightmare is this?" she squawked, trying to wriggle free of him. But Kaal held firm, his eyes soft for once.
"Crystal," Kaal said in his gentle, slightly accented rasp, from years of smoking and a hard life. "Calm down."
Crystal stopped struggling, examining the room for tools to use in case things got out of hand. "What is it? What do you want?"
Kaal laid a hand on hers. Such a simple motion, yet it brought so much pleasure to Crystal. "I want to tell you...I'm sorry." His eyes glistened with unspilt tears. She knew he wouldn't spill them either. He was too much in control of himself to cry so openly. But the sight was a step that Crystal marvelled over. "I was so mad...so proud. I tried to get your attention. I tried to get you aside, to tell you that I loved you. But time wasn't good on me."
Crystal sat up, holding his hand gingerly. "You died too?"
Kaal nodded, scooting beside her. "I did. I thought I'd never have the chance to say I was sorry. Particularly with how I saw you live your life." He smiled warmly and patted her cheek with his. "But I am glad to see I was wrong."
Crystal felt tears come to her eyes. She leaned forward, wrapping her arms around Kaal and bringing him close. "I am sorry too, Kaal. I was a very bad wife to you. Please forgive me..." She wiped her nose with the back of her sleeve.
Kaal said nothing. When Crystal glanced at him, she saw that he was indeed crying. She pulls him closer and whispers into his ear. "Oh, Kaal, it's okay now. We can try to make things better."
His weight shifted and Kaal sat upright, a line of tears down his cheek. He wiped it away, brushing back some of his greying brown hair out of his eyes. "I know. I guess this is what it means to feel happy once again."
Crystal smiled. "I guess so."
His hazel eyes and her blue eyes met. In the flicker of the candle, their forms closed in until their lips gently touched. Kaal wrapped his arms around Crystal, pulling her close to his body. The new world, the new life was forgotten as the two reunited, forgiven and reborn. Eventually the candle faded, leaving their bodies intertwined.

Verson 2
Crystal had thought, before she died the first time, that death would be something you would awaken to, as from a deep sleep. But her first death had shown her this wasn't true. She just seemed to have appeared in the middle of an open field, her hair fluttering in the breeze.
Turning, Crystal looked at the horizon, at a small pinprick slowly approaching. She squinted, hoping to see more clearly. But squinting only helped focus for people in holomovies. She stood there, waiting to see who was approaching.
As the figure neared, Crystal could tell it was a man on a beast of burden. As the man drew near, Crystal's heart skipped. "SK," she breathed, in stunned amazement.
She began to run, her heart fluttering, her hair whipping behind her. Faster and faster her legs carried her across the rolling hills until SK flipped off the beast and stood in front of her, wrapping her in his strong arms. "Crystal," he breathed into her ear, giving her a kiss right under her ear.
Crystal nuzzled her nose into his neck. "I never thought I'd see you again, not after the funeral." She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled herself to give him a kiss, a deep passionate kiss. The two stand there for several moments, until SK pulled back slightly, smiling.
"I thought the same," he said, brushing hair out of her eyes. "I love you."
Tears came to Crystal's eyes. "I love you too...I am so sorry," she choked, burying her face in his chest. "I have done so much wrong...how can you forgive me?"
He held her close, breathing in the scent of her hair. "I love you. That's how." He touched her chin with a finger and pulled her head up to look at him. "And we don't need to remember the sins of that life. Just continue with the future."
Crystal smiled, wrapping her arms around his waist. "Thank you, SK. Thank you."
They hold each other for a long time before SK gently pulled back. "Would you like a ride?" he asked, a mischievous glint to his eye.
Crystal grinned eagerly. "Why are you even asking that? Of course!"
SK laughed and helped her onto the beast. He swung onto the beast in front of her and the two rode off into the sun.

Crystal Starr Light was born on Obroa-Skai to Nomi, actor/model/movie director, and Reed, actor/writer. They divorced when she was 12. She was sent to the Imperial Military Academy for bad behavior. There, she excelled at her studies, while meeting Stymie and Nick, joining an elite group ?The Bucks? and earning a reputation for being belligerent, moody, impulsive, and seductive. She was the only female to graduate in the top 10 as second lieutenant.

Her first mission was on Dantooine, where she executed a town due to sexist remarks. This got her courtmarshalled and sent to Bastion, where she met and married, Kaal, a bright historian and successful business owner. They were not even married a year when they divorced. Crystal sought out Reed's assistance in the divorce, something she regretted for years to come.

Crystal rose to General. Using some money leftover from her grandparents, she started the successful Starlight Officer's Club, where she learned of her missing family. She took over the Empire at Annie's behest and renamed it to the Reconstructed Galactic Empire. Darth Lonefire approached her and offered to train her as a Sith to assume her place at the head of the new Empire, to which she gladly accepted and took the name Darth Athena. As Lonefire's apprentice, Athena grew quickly in the knowledge of the Dark Arts, enough to train Darth Nahema, Lonefire's daughter. Meanwhile, the Empire expanded to Corellia, Commenor, and Duro, and Starkiller joined the Empire. Starkiller and Athena married shortly thereafter. Empress Athena and Executer Lonefire attempted peace talks with the KoA, which failed miserably. At the demise of the KoA, she embraced all the systems under the Empire's control. Athena survived several assassination attempts, including one around Imperial Restoraiton Week on Corellia led by Lieutenant Everette thanks to General Lorana and Colonel Casey. She gave birth to a son, Ranik Light

Then the Yuuzhan Vong situation presented itself. Seeing an opportunity to get rid of the Greys, a group she had despised for a long time, she made an alliance with Warmaster Merkal-shej. Gathering a massive fleet, she attacked Zonoma Sekot. However, several alliances, including the one with the Yuuzhan Vong, turned sour, and Lonefire and her fleets were decimated. Athena, on the planet, perished at the hand of Sekot.

Athena floated in the Netherlands, between Life and Death until Cassus and Lonefire worked together to bring her back. Alive once more, but consumed by Athena, the Dark Sith, she destroyed the Sanctuary of Shadows on Mustafar, killed Lonefire, and proclaimed herself the only Dark Lady of the Sith. She then began a campaign to strengthen the Reborn Sith Empire (led by the Dark Order of the Sith Reborn), dismissed the Senate, and attacked the Typhon Republic, wiping out millions while looking for Rose Scaevola, whom she had captured. She turned on Stymie and put a huge price on his head.

Rose, still bristling over Athena capturing her son, faced Athena on Naboo. Athena's power diminished at Cassus' death, and Rose dealt the killing blow. Just before Athena died, Crystal returned and felt remorse over her actions. She begged Rose' forgiveness and died, falling into the embracing arms of the Force. Rose acknowledge Crystal's plea for forgiveness and took her lightsaber. Years later, she gave it to Ranik, who had been raised alongside Rose's son, Marcus and Stymie's daughter, Nyx.

Epilogue: Cassus

If there was one thing Cassus hated, it was a hangover. Right now, Cassus felt like he had the worst hangover ever. It went on and on in his head, pounding, as if it could remove his eyes. He groaned and rolled over, hoping to squelch the light that bugged his head.
"WAKE UP!" a booming voice roared from next to him.
Cassus fell off the bed ("where did the damn bed come from?") and onto the floor with a thud. That certainly didn't make his hangover feel any better. He groaned. "GO AWAY!" he yelled in return. He squinted his eyes, hoping to make out a form or shape.
A tall, broad figure stood before him, looking almost like a rock, but squishy. Cassus had just about figured he went insane when the figure moved. "You never could be on time," the voice said, though this time, it sounded more familiar.
Cassus half sat up, his head pounding a catchy rhythm in his head. "Master Iruk?" he asked skeptical.
Master Iruk came into clearer focus as he knelt beside his former apprentice. The Iridonian, usually pretty severe and unemotional, smiled. "The one and the same."
Cassus stares. "I'm high, aren't I?"
Master Iruk rolls his eyes and pats his back. "No, just one with the Force."
Cassus leans against the bed, tilting his head back to rest on the mattress. His mind was playing jumping jacks in his head and not quite cooperating with this recent chain of events. "One with the Force? So I'm dead."
The look on Master Iruk's face was grim. He rested a comforting hand on Cassus' shoulder. "Yes."
Cassus was still. Then, he smiles and pumps a fist. "YES! FINALLY!" He startles his master as he bounds to his feet. "Finally, I am dead and can stay dead and don't have to worry about being alive! Thank the Force!"
Master Iruk sighed, getting to his feet. "You are a strange apprentice..."
Cassus smiled at his master and pounded Iruk's back. "You have no idea...I mean, did I ever tell you about the time..."
Cassus directed Iruk down a hallway, his former master hiding an amused smile. To himself, Iruk thinks, "It's good to see you again, my Old Apprentice..."

Cassus Fett

Race: Human
Sex: Male
Age: 131 but not a day over 40
Notable Attributes: Short graying brown, blue eyes, tall, relatively thin and somewhat athletic, if you want anymore, you're gonna have to pay me
Place of Birth: Agamar, Mirgoshir system, Lahara sector, Outer Rim Territories
Notable Saying: Humanity is overrated.
1.Alligence: "Old Republic", Confederacy of Independent Systems, Galactic Empire, New Republic, New Galactic Empire, Reconstructed Galactic Empire
Rank: Jedi Master
Family: Father, Mij Gilamar,Mando'a; Mother, Taris Q'pao, Jedi Apprentice who never received a master; direct descendant of Cassus Fett (which is why he is named thus)
Significant Others: I get around
Jedi Master: Iruk
Jedi Apprentice(s): A lot
Sith Master: Darth Tyr....uh, Count Dooku
Sith Apprentice(s): Never got around to it
Personal History:
Taris Q'pao trained as a Jedi until she reached 11 and never received a master. She left for Agamar to join the Agricultural Farms. When she was only 16, she met Mij Gilamar, who was a doctor. The two fell in love and had me. Because Taris still admired the Jedi, she sent me to them to train in the ways of the Force. I did so until Master Iruk, an Iridonian, took me as his Padawan. I specialized in the saber arts and Force Powers.

I became a Jedi Knight at age 24. Master Iruk was killed attempting a diplomatic solution during a mission to Bandomeer. I did my duties as a Jedi Knight for over 10 years before I took my first apprentice, Rin A'Tar. He was my first successful apprentice and catapulted me from mere Knight to Master. I trained several more apprentices, until I took Laree Glissom, a Nautolan female, as an apprentice, whom I fell in love with. When she threatened the lives of many on Ithor, I took it in my hands and killed her.

For several years, I did not train any apprentices. I was appointed to the Jedi Council, but was disillusioned with the Republic. I made a fuss about the situation and consequentially got kicked off the Jedi Order and all my training privileges were revoked. I gave the Order the proverbial middle finger and left for Agamar. There, I reunited with my parents. My mother was ailing, so I tended to her until she died. My father was working with Jango Fett at this time and introduced me to him. That was when I was reunited with my old buddy, Count Dooku. We chatted it up and he was easily able to persuade me to join his secessionist group and offered to train me as a Sith.

I didn't leave the Confederacy until after Dooku's death. I attempted to return home to Agamar, to see my dad in his final days when my ship was ambushed by Darth Vader. My nephew, Rolln Kurant, saved me and kept me in some thing that retained my memories and implanted me in a mechanoid. Kejn Kurant, his son, took that mechanoid and reshaped it to a barbeque droid to be used to protect his half-sister, Crystal Starr Light, whom she lovingly named "Smarty" (short for "Smart A$$"). It was stupid, but I fell in love with Crystal. After I died in a lightsaber duel, I was brought back to human form by Kejn Kurant's super-duper team of scientists.

I aided Lonefire in bringing back Athena, but she returned the favor by draining me of my life force to bolster her powers. So when I saw Rose attempt to leave with her son, I figured that was it. I left with her for Naboo. When Athena met us there, I jumped in front of her attack on Rose. My death lessened her powers.

After much turmoil and far too many years alive, I became one with the Force and met up with Master Iruk, where I continuously make his life miserable.

Significant Battles: Clone Wars and more

Strengths: Me, baby

Weaknesses: I have weaknesses?

Known Force Powers: Yes, I know it all

Weapons: two silver lightsabers, anything that goes bang, boom, or pow
