The Clone Wars Movie........

I never in a million lightyears thought that I would be ..well... indiffrent to anything Star Wars. But second only to that Gungan we love to hate, Jar Jar, The Clone wars movie is toward the bottom of the list. I guess I had really high hopes for the movie. It was advertised to fill the gap for the actual Clone Wars, but there wasn't much of the war referenced. Unless Anakin or Ashoka were involved. and they were trying to find that little baby hutt the whole movie...so how is this the Clone Wars ? *sigh Granted I did enjoy the stylized animation..but it was way overdone. Taking into consideration that the movie (the plotline and dialouge) really was NOT geared toward adults..aparently I missed the memo abot this being geared toward younglings. It should have been titled "Ashoka's Big Adventure" or with Anakin's attitude.. Clone Wars 90210. Every core character was just so...out of character. I am glad I saw it.. I mean, it IS a Star Wars move.. but most likely wouldn't see it again :/ ok..I might
ashoka and ani

Now THIS is what I expected from the movie the first time !!

  1. I totally agree with you about the movie. It was definitely more youngling oriented than I expected. That said, I have seen the TV episodes released since, and, while not perfect, they are better than the movie. I might even buy the DVDs.

  6. I think it was good, but I agree with your point that it really didn't cover much of the Clone Wars. Never really thought about it until I read your review! I thought some of it was funny, but definantly more of a kid flick. I'll probably buy it when it comes out on DVD, and I'm sure I'll tevo every episode. LOL. Thanks for you review.

  8. "Ashoka's Big Adventure" & "Clone Wars 90210" is so !@#$in hilarious and true. Why would Anakin let some little girl talk to him like that, he really would have shut her up! Plus the lines where so chessy! The only good parts where the fight scenes.

  9. It is a nice movie, I mean I was at the opening day waiting half an hour before... not compared to the weeks and weeks that I spent before the opening of the "Phantom menace"... anyway, it was meant to younger audiences, and you have to remember that the ones who take the parents to the theatres are the young ones, and that means a lot of dough to the film companies... Take care.

  10. See, I thought the storyline WAS geared for adults. I apparently missed the memo that this was mainly a kids movie....simple plot, simple dialouge. That being said, I did enjoy the movie because heck..it is Star Wars. I think this will play much better as a series and I can't wait !!!
