Tal Thren's Profile »
Blood-stained Armor: Tal's Story
When the Nulls were first created, supposedly six of them died. But one of them, N-3, did not.
N-3 was very smart. He was also afraid of the Kaminoans, who didn't care what happened to the clones. Very early into his development, a visitor arrived on Kamino. N-3 escaped from the watchful eyesd of the Kaminoans and snuck aboard the ship. When the visitor left, N-3 went with him.
N-3 snuck away at the first spaceport. For five years, he lived in the streets, scavenging for food. In the sixth year, he got a job at the spaceport. By this time, his physical age was fourteen.
Then one day, N-3 felt the impulse that someone was watching him. Sure enough, man walked up to him. He wanted to hire him to work on his smuggling ship. he agreed.
When the man asked his name, N-3 said "Thren", which was 3 and N put together.
Thren worked for two years, smuggling. Then, the ship was attacked. the attackers boarded, and killed all aboard. But Thren hid in a spice container with a blaster. When they opened it up, he killed the man.
The attackers turned out to be Mandalorians. Thren had killed the leader of the group. But instead of killing him, the Mandalorians welcomed him. Their leader had been cruel, and they were almost glad to see him gone. They gave Thren the leader's armor, naming him Tal, because of the blood-stained aromor he now wore.
After two more years, Tal decided to go fight in the clone wars. He was, after all, a clone, and he felt he should help his brothers. tal bought a starfighter, and flew towards the Republic boundaries. He came apon a space battle. He helped destroy the seperatist fleet, and then joined the Republic troops. With them was Kal Skirata, adopted father of the other Nulls. He accepted Tal into his group, and agreed to keep his identity a secret. He called him Tal Thren, a fellow Mandalorian.
After the war, Tal joined up with the other Nulls and Kal, and they gave him the antidote for the age acceleration given to the clones.
Later, Tal married a Mandalorian woman. He became a bounty hunter, but eventually retired.
The Thren Clan now populates a small portion of southern Mandalore. Every single Thren now coats his or her armor in red paint, in memory of Tal's blood-stained armor.
