JULY WINNERS ANNOUNCEMENT

Hello, collectors. We would like to apologise for the delay in organising the prize distribution for the July Best Collection Awards. Winners and donors should receive an e-mail from us soon.

Also, it is now too late to organise a proper contest for August, so the next Best Collection Awards will be held over September, and details about that contest will appear here in the last week of August.

Again, we apologise for this temporary interruption to the Awards and we hope to see all of you here in September!

Welcome to the Best Collection Awards for July 2008, our fourth competition! Entries and winners of previous competitions can be seen by clicking on the "History" link at the top of this post.

It is time to reveal the winners of the July competition. Firstly, though, a big "thank you" to everyone responsible for making the Best Collection Awards the premier monthly collectors competition held on the World Of Star Wars - patron and creator DaveandCate; designer Darth Dianthus; team captain for May DarthGrandQuest; prize donors Darth Father, Jango Clone, Darth Vilgore, Syphodiaz, Jed1 J1m and DARTH MYLES; the secret judging panel and FallenJedi; and all of our entrants not already thanked, namely The Maker, Teebo, DJ121, Empress Palpatine, Shadskocha, ThagAndy, Xaos, CyberJedi, Darth Zekiel, Kybuck1996 and Max Rebo.

  1. Information about how to enter forms a part of these rules.
  2. Submissions must be of YOUR collection.
  3. You can submit entries in as many categories as you want but only ONCE per category.
  4. All submissions must be posted on your profile page by Thursday, July 31st, 2008 11:59 PM EDT (American Eastern Daylight Time).
  5. All pics must be given a title that begins with the correct code, as shown in the Award details section. You can use the "Description" text to explain more about the picture and so forth.
  6. Ensure you do not exceed the number of pictures allowed for the category you are entering. See the Awards section to find the maximum number of pictures allowed in each category.
  7. Duplicates will not be honored or judged.
  8. Upon uploading your pics you must email BestCollectionAward@yahoo.com with your WOSW screen name and the categories you are entering.
  9. We are working solely on "Honesty is the Best Policy" for everything!
  10. Soliciting for comments, or just informing people that your pictures have been uploaded, is acceptable, as long as you mention that the pictures are entries for the "Best Collection Awards" - please do not shorten it to "BCA".
  11. Winners will be announced right here on July 30th, 2008. The rulings of the judges are final, and no correspondence, electronic or physical, will be entered into.
  12. By entering this contest you hereby give permission for your entry photos to be added to this profile page. Some pics maybe added as references to the contest prior to the end of the contest.
  13. Judging will be done through two methods. The winners of the Panel-judged Awards will be decided by a secret panel of judges - knowledgeable and incorruptible collectors. The winner of the Public-judged Award will be decided by the comments and rating of each entry picture for that category.
