His Excellency the Emperor would like to thank all his loyal subjects for submitting their best pieces for judging. He is impressed with the quality of the entries, and the dedication and efforts demonstrated by all.

ANNOUNCEMENT
of
WINNERS

Just before we begin our announcement of the winners of the Best Collection Awards for May 2008, we would like to give credit to those individuals whose efforts have made this possible.

Firstly we would like to thank our team captain and head judge, DarthGrandQuest. Without their tireless behind-the-scenes efforts the May awards would not have happened, and we are most grateful for their work.

Secondly we wish to show our appreciation to page designer Darth Dianthus, for both creating the page and keeping it updated as entries arrive.

Thirdly we desire to thank our top-secret panel of judges, but they cannot be named due to the fact that they are secret. And shy.

Finally, we would like to say thank you to all of our entrants, for it is their efforts that define the competition. The Maker, Teebo, Darth Father, Jed1 J1m, Darth Vilgore, DJ121, Empress Palpatine, Sebulba7793 and ThagAndy, your hard work and creativity are most highly appreciated, and we wish all of you the best of luck.

All winners will have both a banner and a badge designed for them, that can be posted in their blogs (these will be made over the weekend) - we will contact you when they are ready.

And now a quick word from our team captain, DarthGrandQuest.

"I would like to express my sincerest thanks to all the entrants, and the judges, and everyone involved with the BCA. All of this month's entries were great, and the judging was very difficult. Some of the decisions were extremely hard."

THE RULES

Please read the rules VERY carefully!

Anyone can enter but as with any contest there are a couple of rules to follow:

Information about how to enter forms a part of these rules.
Submissions must be of YOUR collection.
You can submit entries in as many categories as you want but only ONCE per category.
All submissions must be posted on your profile page by May 25th, 2008 12:01 AM PST.
All pics must be given the correct title - the name of the award followed by "Entry". For example, "Best Overall Collection Award Entry". See the Award Categories below to find the correct title to use. You can use the "Description" text to explain more about the picture and so forth.
Ensure you do not exceed the number of pictures allowed for the category you are entering - some allow more then one picture, some only allow one. See the Award Categories below to find the maximum number of pictures allowed in each category.
Duplicates will not be honored or judged.
Upon uploading your pics you must email BestCollectionAward@yahoo.com with your WOSW screen name and the categories you are entering.
We are working solely on "Honesty is the Best Policy" for everything!
Soliciting for comments or votes is unacceptable, as is using any of your other profiles to "bring up your comments" on your pics. You are, however, allowed to simply leave in the Guest Book of other users the following comment only, "I've posted new pics." Anything outside of that exact comment may be cause for dismissal from contest.
Winners will be announced right here on May 30th, 2008. The rulings of the judges are final, and no correspondence, electronic or physical, will be entered into.
By entering this contest you hereby give permission for your entry photos to be added to this profile page. Some pics maybe added as references to the contest prior to the end of the contest.
Judging will be done through two combined methods. First, by a secret panel of judges - four of your peers, with DarthGrandQuest as head judge (who will not be entering in the awards). Second, will be by the comments received on your pics. These combined two factors will decide the winner for each category.
Steve Sansweet and his immediate family are prohibited from entering this competition. Sorry, Steve - we have got to give the others a chance.
