BCA 06 2008 Nov-Dec Entries
A bit late (cough), but the sixth Best Collection Awards for November-December 2008 are away! This time we have six awards spread across two themes - the holiday season; and the best of the collecting year. We encourage everyone to enter, there are awards that will suit both hard-core and casual collectors, as well as the more creative types. Plus, there will be some pretty good prizes awarded at the end! Details on those as soon as we can confirm them. To encourage the widest possible participation, we will be trying some new ideas this time around. Firstly, we will have exactly six winners - any entrant can only win one award at most, and there will be no ties. Secondly, all awards will be decided by a public vote. This will allow those who have previously donated their time to judging the BCAs to enter, and to have the same chance of winning as everyone else. So, we hope that you will check out the awards information, read the How To Enter details and the Rules, and start putting your entries together! Good luck!  For full details, please read The Rules (below), but briefly, to submit an entry, you must do two things: 1. Upload your entry pictures to your profile, and give them a title that begins with the code shown in the award details (below). The code makes it easier for us to find the pictures. 2. Send an e-mail to BestCollectionAward@yahoo.com with your WOSW username and the categories you have entered in. You will receive a reply e-mail confirming that your pictures have been officially received. If you have not received official confirmation of your submission within a few days please contact us. If you do not like the preview (thumbnail) image used for your entry, please e-mail us with your concerns and we will make a new one. You are allowed to promote your entries.  For our big yearly awards, the generous donors have assembled a great list of prizes for our winners. | BEST RECREATION Use your figures, props, vehicles and/or spaceships to re-create any scene from any of the Star Wars films, or the Expanded Universe; including the Holiday Special, The Clone Wars, LucasArts videogames, etc. Maximum 4 pictures Picture titles MUST begin with "BCA6-1" | BEST COLLECTION For the serious collectors, this is the premier award. The best collection of Star Wars items. You have six photos in which to demonstrate the vastness, quality and rarity of your collection. Wow us. Maximum 6 pictures Picture titles MUST begin with "BCA6-2" | BEST DISPLAY The best, most creatively arranged and displayed, and most complete, single-theme collection displayed together. For those who've focussed on Wookiee, Clone, vintage, large-scale or Ewok (how could you) figures; or those amassing lightsabers, or spaceships, or books, or anything like that. Maximum 4 pictures Picture titles MUST begin with "BCA6-3" | |||

| BEST HOLIDAY SCENE Create a scene that uses Star Wars figures and props, and recreates or reflects the holiday season, or any of the religious stories, traditions or festivities associates with this time. But not recreations of scenes from the Star Wars Holiday Special, they should be entered in Best Recreation. Maximum 4 pictures Picture titles MUST begin with "BCA6-4" | BEST STAR WARS DECORATIONS Holiday decorations! We want to see the best Star Wars-themed tree decorations, room decorations, store and house decorations, etc. Be creative, outlandish or traditional - your choice! Maximum 4 pictures Picture titles MUST begin with "BCA6-5" | WEIRDEST HOLIDAY PIECE Bizarre Holiday Special items, bizarre Star Wars holiday items, or bizarre Star Wars- and holiday-related items that you've created. Think of a statuette of Princess Leia (dressed as a slavegirl elf) sitting on the knee of Jabba The Hutt (dressed as Santa). That would definitely count. If it existed.
