Sirene Vesuhaven's Profile »
A little fan fiction ( just after the Jedi Purges began )
In an undisclosed location
?The Order will have you expelled!? came a voice across the vast hall followed by a sprinting young Jedi knight.
?If there is Order ? replied the figure in red Jedi robes as the young knight caught up to her.
?You can?t just walk away like this the dark side is everywhere now, Sirene.? he answered
?I can?t just sit here and do nothing Zaiel. My master was on Coruscant, I have to know what happened to him.? Sirene replied still walking briskly.
?The message said that all Jedi are to stay away from Coruscant, that it was a trap Sirene. We can?t just go there with our lightsabers flashing and act as if it?s a trial. This is real Sirene, this isn?t a training exercise.?
Stopping in her tracks Sirene visibly looked frustrated and stared at the tiles of the floor for a moment before looking back at Zaiel. ?There is no we Zaiel, it?s just me and I?m not going there with my lightsaber or even my robes. I will to adopt a disguise and blend in with the locals.?
A look of pain and confusion formed on Zaiel?s face as he glanced to his own robes that were very typical of Jedi attire. ?I thought that what our robes were for.? he finally said as he recalled the address on the holonet he saw of Chancellor Palpatine stating: all the Jedi were to be hunted down and defeated; that they were traitors and attempted to assassinate him and take over the republic. It was unbelievable, it wasn?t true and yet here they were. His master was killed in the war and now most of his friends were missing, all except Sirene who had fought beside him after his master died.
?I will not be taking a jet I?ll go by transport through at least 2 systems, who knows I might stumble into a few wandering Jedi ?Sirene said as she removed her rust red colored robe and unhooked her lightsaber, handing them to Zaiel after folding her robe neatly and with calm and carefulness.
?By the force Sirene why can?t you for once just obey a command??Zaiel replied locking his eyes to hers pleading to her to see reason as he allowed Sirene to hand him her robe and lightsaber. ?be sensible, think.?
?I always had a mind of my own Zaiel I know it?s not a trait you agree with but I follow my instincts first. Something is telling me my master is still alive. I am going, if you wish to stay here and watch the holonet for any news or wait for any other Jedi that?s your choice. You can?t change my mind so don?t try. Take care of yourself Zaiel, and if you?re sensible you?ll burry your robe and lightsaber when you burry mine.? She replied
?Sirene without a lightsaber you?re defenseless.? He said holding her lightsaber out for her to take back
?A Jedi is never defenseless? she replied not reaching for her saber, she would miss it. The only thing she ever truly owned and took care of. The only constant companion she ever had since she was 13 would now to be given up. She prayed it would only be a temporary goodbye.
With that Sirene headed out of the hall and towards the nearest exit climbing a small transport to take her to a space port. Leaving a very torn and for the first time very frightened Zaiel.
?May the Force be with you, Sirene? he said
?And with you ?came a reply in his mind.
