HMPH!
Well I just got one thig to say, Roleplaying here, stinks! You'd think people had more to say and play an do than fall in loooove and what not, it's crazy! WTH! I used to play RP's where people actually RPed! SIGH is it so much to ask for a little imagination?! God I'm really starting to hate this place.

But it seems that the point is basically that rping is not for everyone, you can try though to join a faction or sort of and see how it goes.
I had visited the SWG link before, Brassk, and I noticed that there is a fourteen day trial offer that I may try out. I'll put this note into your blog to further discuss your addiction.
As for SWG, I may not be the right person to ask, at least not if you're looking for an objective answer. I'm completely addicted. To answer your questions anyway, though, Laywi, the game itself isn't particularly expensive. You can get The Complete Online Adventures, which includes all three of the expansions, for about $20, and that includes your first month of online membership (I think there are also some in-game gifts that come along with the purchase now, probably a vehicle or something). After that, there's a fee of about $15/month. So really, no more expensive than any other MMORPG.
To answer your last question, that depends on your personality. As I said, I'm addicted, but that's just me. However, that said, although I play a lot, I do have six different characters (all different professions, as you'll see on my blog over the next few weeks), so I'm dividing my time amongst them, essentially making myself part-time at each.
But don't take my biased word on SWG. I know Yahoo frowns on links, but (yahoo be damned!) you can check out some basic info on SWG here:

I'm afraid that you're right. If I do step into the muck, I'll be sure to ignore as required. I won't let it bother me, but rather laugh it off for what it's worth. I'm sure I'll become terminally bored soon enough and just move on to better things out there.
SWG, is it expensive and does it offer a vast playground for roles? I don't really think something like that would be suitable for me as I couldn't devote enough time to make it worthwhile. In your opinion, would that online game be suitable for relatively part-time or would I likely be haplessly addicted?
