Empress Palpatine's Profile »
World of Star Wars
When our illustrious leaders mysteriously disappear, we must be good Sith- er, ah, um, I mean members- and step forward and pick up the slack.
Why can't we put together our own competitions?
Why can't we decide which profile most deserves praise?
When we know the answer to questions, why shouldn't we answer them? Yes, maybe we've answered the exact same question 15 times or more, but who better to point the newbies toward the answer than those who have posted it?
Why rely on those paid to be here when so many of us are obsessive enough to be here constantly for free?!
The Profile of the Week competition is back! Check out the Help forum to vote!
See what Dorme Vader's made! Profile of the Week and FAQ.
I've decided that since nothing we say or do in the forums seems to gain any staff attention, perhaps we need to try harder. so, I'm posting the following message on the Suggestion Board. If enough of us over the next while make essentially the same request/complaint/suggestion, perhaps someone will think to do something.
It would be really nice if it seemed like someone just plain cared.
I understand if having full-time staff to baby-sit us seems like a waste on Yahoo resources, but could we be made to feel as though we deserve some attention? Some updates, even?
Choose a handful of dedicated members to collect and weigh suggestions and pass on to staff, if showing up too often overwhelms anyone. Updated the "Popular Pictures" once a month, at least, please. Give us one or two different alliance choices and RPG forums (Bounty Hunter and Undecided/Other would be great). Fix a few of the nagging bugs if it's not too much trouble. A Quote feature in the forums would be extremely useful, if not also Edit.
We all have our differences and can tend to act like bickering children, it's true, but we've proven quite decent at moderating ourselves. We're not asking for constant work or updates, but neglecting us until we end up leaving makes a waste of the work put into the World of Star Wars already.
We do appreciate what has been done for the site and its members already. Please don't give up on it now.
Thank you for your time.

- TIE 75Welldone for picking up the baton where Yahoo dropped it with profile of the week. Just a suggestion: Why not make a badge or banner that POTW winners can incorperate into their pages/blogs? Lets face it It's more than yahoo got around to doing & it may help to gain more interest in your efforts. Also I have noticed that a lot of people seem to be voting for profiles which allready won POTW under yahoo so it would be cool to see some people who have not won it get a chance. There are certainly some worthy & overlooked profiles out there. All that said I think it's very noble what the likes of yourself & Dorme are doing for the site & it's user's. Rest assured you have my support & that of my group The Wild Knights. Keep up the good work!posted Feb 23, 2008 3:39 PM | Report Abuse
- Reverend MandrakeFor the past week or so I've been attempting to post links to new Star Wars information and updates in my blogs. Any assistance that you could give would always be appreciated. If, at any time, you would need assistance, please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you for your time and dedication.posted Feb 20, 2008 8:06 PM | Report Abuse
