Nathaniel Quartermain

As a child on Corellia he was raised on military principles where he formed discipline and character (he also formed a liking for the navy). His father, retired from CorSec, was an engineer who owned a small shipyard where Nathan worked as a teenager. He has always had an interest in technology and how things work. Being from a military family he decided that he would continue the family tradition and join the Republic Navy. He rose through the ranks quite rapidly, earning a lot of respect along the way. He finally got his own ship, the "Hammond" named after a famous admiral, it was one of the first Venator-class cruisers to come off the assembly line. He felt proud that his first command was one of the Republics finest ships. People said that he was on the fast track to becoming an Admiral. This was about the time that the Republic collapsed and the Empire began.

The new Imperial Officers were distrustful of Corellians and so they reassigned Nathan to a cargo ship. Nathan disliked the fact that he was reassigned so after 4 years on that cargo ship he left the navy and returned home only to find his parents missing. He didn't seem too surprised because he hadn't seen them in 8 years he thought they moved. He later found out the truth that the Empire killed his mother. Why? he hasn't found out. As for his father, he was forced to sell his shipyard because of the high taxes and later was forced to work off his debt to the Empire at the Kuat Shipyards until his death a couple of years later.

Now Nathan is a mercenary you might say, fighting against the Empire, hoping that one day justice will be served. He lives on his ship, the "Themis", a Corellian Gunship.
He is very fond of the Jedi and over the years have come to call some of them his friends. He fights along side them towards a similar goal. The Jedi have taught him a lot of things about himself but he has decided that its not the life for him. He has even enlisted the help of a former Jedi named Kevin Nightryder to help him achieve his goal
