Okay, so I am riding my bike, and there are lots of people who have their leaf piles in the road. Yeah, it makes me mad, but I generally let it go. Then their is this dumbass lady who has a huge pile of leaves five feet into the road. That ticked me off. My town has a rule that you can't do that because it is a traffic hazard, it clogs up storm drains, etc. It is a street that is sometimes busy, so it is also hazardous to me. I decided to move it back into her yard. She came out and yelled at me. I tried to inform her that she wasn't allowed to have her leaves five feet out into the road, and blah blah blah.
"Don't you tell ME where I can and can't have my leaves! I am a taxpayer..." and so on. I don't really remember everything she said. I would have continued the arguement, but I decided not to push my luck when she's threatening the police. I don't know what kind of a citizen she thinks she is! You don't get to do whatever you want just because you pay taxes. I think I'd almost have legitamite grounds to make a call to the police myself. We pay taxes too, and therefore I have a right to ride on a hazard free public road. I don't know, I guess it's just a pet peeve I have.
