Thickness of books.
How is it that a book that has loads of promotinal stuff; a whole competition to make trailers for the book and loads of people drooling for it to come out is really thin? I haven't read the book, though i do intend to, but it seems that all that promitonal stuff was just because it was the first "horror Star Wars book". I mean it's a good idea and all that but i'm sure, i don't actually know having not read them all, that there are some Star Wars books that are quite scary.
Prehaps the author really couldn't add in anymore story or keeps it short for a reason, maybe for more suspense, i probably wont know untill i've read it, but i saw the book in a Waterstones last week some time and i was amazed, almost shocked, by how thin the book was. And it's not just that book in particular, i also saw the paperback book of The Clone Wars novel. There's also Hard Contact that we got a few years ago, granted that all the other books in the series are a lot thicker and the book was quite good, and i'm sure i've seen something else that was quite thin aswell. The Medstar Duology are both pretty thin aswell, they could have gotten away with making them into one longer book! With most of the paperback Star Wars books about £7.99 (Sorry i live in England so that's my price, not sure what it is in America) now, it justs seems a rip off and a waste of money. How is it that a book that is mainly just a tie-in novel to a videogame (The Force Unleashed novelisation) thicker than these other books i've mentioned? It just doesn't seem right. The film novelisations are longer than these books!
If they are going to keep churning out books so thin, they should at least lower the prices!
