After re-watching the new episodes (I-III) it is painfully clear that the story and events that compos Episode One could have been told in a few short scenes in Episode Two. Not much really happened. Then we could get a whole new movie to ease Anakin into the dark side, instead of having him go fast forward in the final movie. Seemed forced, no pun intended. Plus there would be more Jedi fighting and clone wars, which is never a bad thing.
