The Indiana Jones Saga...

In eager anticipation of the upcoming Indiana Jones movie, I thought I'd give a little homage to the existing Indy Trilogy, as well as a shameless little plug for the upcoming movie. Enjoy!

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Release Date: May 22, 2008

Plot Summary: "In 1957, Indiana Jones is having a quiet life teaching before being thrust back in action, venturing into the jungles of South America in a race against Soviet agents to find the mystical Crystal Skull."

Discussion topic: On Wikipedia it says that, "In order to keep aesthetic continuity with the previous films, there will be minimal use of computer-generated imagery and more of a reliance on traditional stuntwork..." As much as I love the entire Star Wars Saga, I sometimes wish they hadn't relied so heavily on CG during the Prequel Trilogy to keep "aesthetic continuity" with the Original Trilogy. Do you agree?

Please, stop the madness. End all "Who vs. Who" threads now!

I think it's a great idea for the Indy films. In fact, the idea of CGI action hadn't popped into my head at all since I first heard about this movie. Star Wars I can understand a little more. Maybe not for everythingthough. Clone troopers for example. Why was Commander Cody, even with his helmet off, along with all the other clones, CGI? For me, it ruined the idea behind the troopers; They didn't seem as real. But for creatures that couldn't be realistically replicated, such as Boga, Battle Droids, or the Gungan Army, I find it okay. Stop motion would of made the prequels unrealistic by todays standards. Indy movies can get away with no CGI because there aren't really any dynamic action scenes, locale, or creatures that need to be replicated.
