Luke skywalker's Profile »
A Jedi Shall Not Love...... why Luke Skywalker should be expelled from the Jedi order.
I just finished reading Secrets of the Jedi by Jude Watson, which was awsome. It show's how hyporcritical Obi-Wan was, and how totaly different Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan and Anakin are. However, I don't want to talk about how these people fell in love, and the different path's they took today. Today, I want to talk about Luke falling in love.
Okay, we all know that Luke marries Mara-Jade in the EU. And, again, I state that: LUKE MARRIES MARA-JADE! He get's married! He is the "Master of the New Order of the Jedi," how can he get married? Isn't that a never-changing rule? Isn't that a path that leads down the dark side? DIDN'T YODA SAY ALL OF THIS?
So, I now wonder why Luke is married to Mara-Jade. Yes, I think that the rule is unfair and everything, and Mara-Jade is awsome, but how is that possible? In the book they present that as a rule that will never ever change for anybody!
Please, tell my what you think. I guess it could be that there are new Masters, but that still seems weird. Maybe Luke didn't know about the rule. I don't know. Thank you, and please comment!
