ALIGNMENT IS FIXED!!!!:

And in honor of the change, I have decided to join the darkside...at least temporarily :)

Thank you all for your patience while we worked it out. I know you have been frustrated (I'm talking to you Darth Satan of the lightside :)) but on a positive note, hearing from you, and making this change, is exactly what this site is about!

If you don't see the changes right away, empty your cache, and it should reload correctly.

Good day World of Star Wars users!

Glad you're here!

So some of you may have noticed that the World Trotter has come off the page. We put it up there and the response was wonderful, but unfortunately it was slowing things down for some users. That said, it is behind the scenes getting spruced up, so hopefully we will have it back out there shortly.

The good news is that the alignment fix is in it's final stages, which means pretty soon all you Sith Lords can show your face again around the Sith Lord pages without worrying about being called a "light sider". Stay tuned...

Finally, I want to thank all of you Beta users who are working overtime to make this site a remarkable place to visit. You all have formed an amazing and supportive community around the World of Star Wars. Helping each other create banners, leaving supportive comments, answering help questions in the forums, and filling in the gaps when the our FAQ section isn't enough. And when things don't always go according to plan (leveling, alignment) I want to personally thank you for going with the flow...and remember, this really is just the beginning...

You all are making this World what it is, and what it is (after only 1+ week!) , is pretty darn spectacular!

Today I have some fun things to announce!

Since we launched, we have been blown away by how many of you have been contributing and adding your amazing content to the site! Because of this we've been working hard to get the site to load faster so you can access that great stuff even more quickly. We've done some stuff behind the scenes that should make that all happen, so we hope you are encouraged to run around and check out even more!

Also, for all of you who already have a fan site, blog, or other website that you use to communicate, now you can badge those pages with the Official World of Star Wars badge . We've got a bunch of shapes and sizes for you to check out and spread around! Check them out!

Next we have made a short cut in the profile module in the upper right hand side of the page. You'll see a little "i" with a link next to it that changes through out the day. This will help you find new stuff on the site and let us suggest some things you may want to check out.

And last but not least we have made some great enhancements to our photos page. Now you can see the photos that have been uploaded, as well as the title and user who posted the photo! This can be a great way to meet new people and comment on their contribution to the site. Enjoy!

Hey World of Star Wars users,

I wanted to give you a couple of updates about the site.

First of all we are listening to all your feedback and appreciate all your help making this site everything it can be. A couple of things. First we have some new changes, including our World Trotter and our new search navigation terms at the top of the page. Check them out and let us know what you think.

Secondly, since we are still in Beta and working out some kinks, there have been some problems that we are actively fixing. Alignment is at the top of our list and we know that some of the leveling has been a little bit funky (even for my profile!). Don't worry, we are doing everything we can to get these issues resolved, and making this site better everyday.

Check back often as I will be leaving updates here in the blog, and, of course, may the force be with you!

Wow! That's all I can say as the first week of the Yahoo! and Lucasfilm Ltd. partnership comes to a close. The last week has been spent setting up profiles, checking out official videos, looking through photos, and enjoying all the great discussions in the forums. The feedback is great (and I promise we know you want to choose your alignment :)) and look for some great enhancements coming up in the next few months. In the meantime here are some cool things we think you may enjoy.
