Jedi & superheroes

Does anybody else feel like i do regarding the jedi? Dont you find that they are just like Superman having all this power at their disposal yet never truly take advantage, constantly resisting the temptation for the greater good WHY OH WHY do they do it.
Now Batman is more my style, he fights his cause and is quite willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done he would make a good addition to the sith cause.
