Adegan crystals( or Ilum crystals) rare Force-reactive stones.

Adegan crystals were commonly used by Jedi as a main component of a lightsaber.

Colors: came in all colors but crystals from Ilum were green or blue in color

Properties: All of them had the special properties that made them ideal for a Jedi's weapon. When induced by resonant frequencies, the crystals emitted powerful bursts of light, and further components of a lightsaber harnessed this power into a rod-like beam.

Adegan crystals had a special connection to the Force, and it was through their use that Jedi created a bond between themselves, the Force, and their weapon. The Adegan crystals in a lightsaber gave off a weak force signature that could be sensed by any Jedi.

Places found: They were primarily found in the Adega system, and on the planet Ilum. A fair amount of these crystals could also be found on the planet Halm and in parts of the Cularin system asteroid belt.

Types of Adegan crystal

Kathracite was the most common form of Adegan crystal, followed by relacite and danite. These crystals didn't focus energy as well as their rarer cousins, and thus were usually reserved for use in training sabers.

Mephite was a typical Adegan crystal used by the Jedi.

Pontite was the rarest and most powerful type of Adegan crystal. Nearly impossible to find, it resonated with a powerful aura that cooled both skin and tempers.


Ankarres Saphhire or Antares Crystal

Colors: Blue

Properties: They possessed legendary healing powers and numerous other effects. It was one of the most potent crystals that could be used in lightsaber creation. It was also a crystal of great power and could aid a Jedi in battle.

Legend has it that this sapphire could only be wielded by light-siders. If the crystal/saber was to be touched by someone dark, it would slowly heat up and burn their hand. Supposedly, this effect could apparently be reversed if it fell into the wrong hands

Places found: Unknown but found in 3,951 BBY by the Jedi exile , last known location was on Darlyn Boda
