DON'T MOVE TO DEJA VUE!
Okay, I'm going to rant here.
My trader and ent both lived in the same city on Starsider: Deja Vue on Naboo. Until this weekend, that is...
The mayor, Mythria, asked my ent to move her cantina to make room for a new guild that had moved into the city. Despite having it already located on some sweet waterfront property, I said, "Sure. Where do you want me to put it?"
So I packed it, like the nice guy that I am. However, after several go-rounds, where she tried to have me put it in really crappy locations (buried in a bunch of factories?), I realised what was happening, but too late. I ran back to my cantina's previous location to find that members of the mayor's guild had already placed houses there. I was just being distracted while they were doing it.
And the mayor's coy reaction to my outrage? "Wow. They work fast, don't they?"
All this, too, after the lovely mayor sent out a mail to all of the town's citizens, saying that she wasn't joining a guild so that she could be outside of guild politics. What a crock.
And then when I raised the BS flag and told her she'd obviously intended it all along, I got: "Look, I tried very hard to help you find a place for your cantina, and all I got was lousy comments. I think it's time you found another city."
Yeah, I'll find another city -- one that doesn't have a conniving skank for a mayor.
Moral of the story: If you've got a toon on Starsider, DON'T MOVE TO DEJA VUE!
