Profile:The daughter of a Bakuran senator, Bayta left her homeworld when Governor Nereus was appointed by the Empire. Disgusted by her home planet's loss of independence, Bayta joined the Rebellion in the hope of returning total sovereignty to her homeworld.

Restore the Republic? Sure. Bakura doesn't have to be a part of it.
