A powerful statement, but this is one area where I deeply disagree with Yoda - at least mostly. Death is a corruption of life. Of perfect life. Just as pain, suffering, and aging (beyond maturity) are. The only reason a person should want to die is for release from pain, suffering, and weakness, whether mental, physical or emotional. Otherwise, people would always want to live forever, because the spirit is forever. And the spirit is our core. Our desire to live hearkens back to a time when we didn't die. To imagine living forever is not even a stretch for our brains, but it's not the current reality. It is only natural that we mourn and miss our loved ones. Too much attachment, I agree, is a form of weakness, and even worship. It is also the standard fare for many controlling relationships - not true love, but a form of
"love me, love me, love me....me, me, me."
