Star Wars and Personal Mementos!
Having been reading from this site for the past year-yet not having the time to spare until recently to actually sign up and participate on this site-it?s dawned on me that not only are those of us who are here interested in star wars, but that we?ve been exposed to the lore and myth and history of star wars probably from a very young and early age.
I can recall Star Wars being released and it had no ?Episode IV? preamble to it. It was simply ?Star Wars?! But beyond that I realize when viewing the pics that so many of us have posted that its part of our youth, our past as well as our current day?s events. I recently posted some pics of a poster I had when I was in grade school and Empire was first released. I went through and was reading and looking through comic books, posters, novels and copies of ?Art of Return of the Jedi? and ?Art of the Empire Strikes Back?. All of these took me back to a time in my youth that I spent in movie theaters with friends and we?d discuss who was the more powerful Jedi-Luke or Vader-and whether a blaster was a better weapon than a light-saber.
All of us cling to our youth at times and this is a fun way to recall and relive our youth!
So far I?m having fun and I hope you all are too!
