Jes grew up without any knowledge of being force sensitive and her mother unable to explain the "werid" things that was going on with her. It wasn't until she was 19 that her mother told her about her brother and her powers.
Upset at being kept in the dark about this, Jes takes off to find her brother
only to find out that he died. Sadden at the news, Jes finds his hut on the outskirts of town and finds a note from him addressed to her. Reading it, she finds out about his past, the powers of the Force, and coordinates
to the temple. She packs up her things and heads there. She met other students and became the padawan of Fable. Jes passed the finals and became a Knight. One day, she gets a strong feeling to head back to her brother's hut so she goes back to Tatoonie to see. She is drawn strongly towards his prized trunk and opens it up to find a small box and another note from him. Opening it, she finds a dark blue crystal glowing strongly at her presence. Jes takes it back to the temple and builds her first saber. With the trials and growing problems in the order, Jes starts questioning her place. With the search for answers, she finds other family members in the order, including her best cousin Grainne. During all this, she meets Clintro and they start going out and ended up getting engaged. When the KoA was formed, Jes followed hoping this could be the place for her. It was for a time until she watched people she cared about turn to the Sith. Questioning everything, Jes starts to doubt the things she was taught as a Padawan. With Clintro gone, Jes leaves everything behind to travel around the galaxy looking for the answers that she has been looking for a long time.
