How it All Began

I was born after the first two Star Wars films were released, so I did not get to see them in theatres until the Special Edition release. My Mom however loved the movies and showed them to me as soon as they were available on VHS. I remember watching in amazement at the amazing imagery I saw. I couldn't understand most of the dialogue, but George Lucas' use of imagery to tell us who was good and bad allowed me to understand the struggle that was going on. For many years I would love to watch the movies, in fact every time the Fox Fanfare played my heart would beat faster anticipating Star Wars no matter what the movie was... then came the Expanded Universe.
